I had a very good experience at Puripunn. Although the hotel is in a small lane and not easy to find, is is compensated by the free "tuk tuk " ride service the hotel offers to the center of the city and to the night market which is only a short ride.Service is excellent and the kitchen staff goes out of the way to make your stay pleasant. The hotel is situated in a quiet lane not far from the old town. For those looking for a retreat from the crowd, yet near enough from the action, this is an elegent little place to stay.

The Puripunn is a perfect place for a family that wants to have a quiet respite after a busy day of sightseeing. The staff treats you like family and the setting and architecture is very picturesque. The breakfasts are nice with a choice of eggs or omelets in addition to breads, yohurts, fruit and croissants. You will most likely have the pool and jacuzzi to yourself. I recommend taking the Thai cooking class. It includes an interpreter and a selection of dishes to make. The family was impressed by my cooking and we now can make Pad Thai and Panan Curry at home!!!! I strongly recommend this intimate hotel for anyone who enjoys a quiet place to relax.

Nice little Boutique Hotel which is a located outside the city centre (5 min. but free shuttle via Tuck Tuck is provided).
As for families the pool is a little too small and only provides a total of 5-6 deck chairs (for 30 rooms) and also the breakfast - eventhough quality is good - might take some time since the kitchen seems overwhelmed by requests sometimes (no full buffet).
But overall for couples travelling a good choice and worth recommending.

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights at Puripunn and fell absolutely in love with this place. We have traveled widely and the staff at this hotel were the most personable and attentive we have ever met. Wonderfully relaxing with impeccable attention to detail.

The Puripunn bills itself as an intimate Baby Grand Boutique Hotel and this description is very apt. We arrived just one week after the hotel opened and were extremely happy with the facilities and the very attentive service. The rooms are good size and exquisitely furnished. Our only disappointment was that the fitness room was not yet completed.
The hotel has a small full service restaurant where we had breakfast every morning and a very nice dinner on the evening we arrived. This is a great location close to the night market and several riverfront restaurants. They offer complimentary tuk-tuk service to local destinations. The hotel is on a quiet side street and was not easy to find the first time. We were within 100 meters of the hotel, yet our driver had to stop twice for directions. Unfortunately we did not have the hotel's phone number.
We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a romantic get-away location just minutes from the action.
