We spent a very nice time at Lanna Mantra Hotel. The people was very nice, the rooms well decorated and the location a little long from the city but a very quiet place where one can relax. I think it is a very good option when staying at Chiang Mai
A delightful little new boutique hotel located...
A delightful little new boutique hotel located by the quiet Ping River! The landscaping in the garden was lovely, and the balcony of our room overlooked the lotus pond - absolutely perfect for reading a book! Rooms were spacious and included 'luxury' items such as tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar, hairdryer and the TV movie channels HBO and Star Movies. Breakfast was basic, but the food adequate. The place exudes a 'homely' feel, and the staff were very attentive even though they often had to multi-task. Some may consider the hotel to be inconveniently located as it is about 15 minutes' drive from the city centre. However, as we had a rented car, the location was not an issue and in fact, the hotel's proximity to the superhighway made it very easy to get to doi suthep, sankampeang, mae rim and other "must-see" places outside the old city. There was also ample parking space and a guard to ensure security of the compound. We enjoyed every bit of our stay at Lanna Mantra!
