The only complaint that we have is...
The only complaint that we have is that the floor in the shower very covered with slippery wall tiles and my wife slipped on this and fell and dislocated two toes. The floor was not level either and there were no hand rails for support. Luckily the injuries were relatively minor but they could have been much worse. However, the hotel was probably the most comfortable and attractive that we stayed in during a very enjoyable holiday. Francis Griffin

The most charming hotel we´ve ever stayed...
The most charming hotel we´ve ever stayed in!!! It was absolutely perfect!!! There is absolutely nothing wrong to say about it. Rooms: really nice, full of personal details, they gave us fresh fruit every day, and it was extremely clean. It really did feel like home. Facilities: lush gardens, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, library, free internet access... what else can you ask for? Everything very well maintained. Staff: the best! they were really friendly and polite, and helped us planning our onward journey by phoning our next hotel to make sure our reservation and airport transfer were OK. Staff at breakfast were also outstanding, the manager there explained everything about tropical fruits as I was interested, and she even made the point to find some rare ones for me to tray. Excellent!!! Even the owner made the point to talk to us and make sure everything was all right. Location: 2 minutes from the night market, where all the action is at night, this hotel it´s like a little oasis in the middle of the action, very quiet but close to everythin. We cannot recomment this hotel enough, it made our stay in Chiang May really memorable!!!

The Yaang Come Village is an oasis...
The Yaang Come Village is an oasis in Chaing Mai. Having come from Bangkok, and arriving at the Yaang Come, you get a real feel of peacefulnees. The initial invitation and greeting from the courteous and accomodating staff is more than welcoming. Sitting with a nice cup of complimentary lemongrass tea in the open-air hotel lobby, under the 40 year-old Yaang Come tree and overlooking the pool, was a wonderful start to our stay. The deluxe rooms are spacious, clean and with all the amenities you can ask for. The bathrooms are modern and yet still have a rustic Thai feel with teak wood for the bathroom doors. A wonderful outside balcony that makes you feel like you are in a resort in the country, more so than a hotel in a city, makes for a very relaxing evening (but don't forget the bug spray) The hotel is located literally 5 minutes from the night market, 5 minutes to the local Warorot Road market, and 10 minutes to the old city gates, so it is extremely well situated. Overall, our Yaang Come experience was an excellent one, and would highly recommend the Yaang Come both for its overall appeal and value.

A very pleasant hotel, making a nice...
A very pleasant hotel, making a nice change from the usual standardised Western hotel. The staff make every attempt to be pleasant and helpful, and make everyone feel very welcome. The location is very central, and I can really recommend the nearest Chinese restaurant, almost opposite the entrance, the Jia Tong Heng. Don't be put off by its run down exterior! It's lovely inside. The hotel pool is excellent, but watch out for the slippery steps. The breakfasts are a bit basic, and the facility for an evening meal seem limited, but most people would want to go to the 'Whole Earth' by the entrance, or somewhere else local. Only criticisms, another comfotable chair in the room would have been nice, and there is a building site out back at the moment which can be a little noisy. However excellent value.

Deluxe room was comfortable with separate shower...
Deluxe room was comfortable with separate shower booth and large bathtub. Wired internet connection was available free in room, a bit slow for surfing but ample for checking mails. WiFi was available around lobby, poolside and restaurant. It's non-smoking in all rooms, but the staff will bring ash tray for smokers to light up in a petit veranda outside. There was a notice in the room of a 5000 baht fine for in-room smoking! Friendly staff, central location and cozy atmosphere make this hotel an excellent deal.

My Husband and I stayed at Yaang...
My Husband and I stayed at Yaang Come Village for 2 nights and the facilities were wonderful. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated in modern-thai style and the bathrooms had a definate spa feeling. The only complaint I would have is the front-desk service, especially in the wake-up calls. It would be a good idea to bring an alarm clock as a back-up. As well, depending on who is at the front counter, finding out information about tour packages that are NOT provided by the hotel (which is usually cheaper)was information we would have appreciated on the 1st day at our 1st encounter, and not afterwards when we had to ask for it from a different front-desk person. Otherwise, YAANG COME VILLAGE was absolutely a wonderful, spa-like resort with a good location (far enough away from the night village, but close enough to walk to)
