Great hotel. Found this gem on asiarooms - and really happy I stayed here. The staff are so helpful and friendly (then again this is Thailand!).
Location of hotel is excellent, although it does take around 15-20 minutes to walk to the old part of the town. In otherwords, if you are wanting to step out and walk straight into the old town (the fortress walled+moat part of Chiang Mai) then this isn't the hotel for you. But its a fun walk, and great exercise there - particularly if you want to work on your tan and catch some amazing temples on the way to the old town.
It is located right next to the night markets, and very close to the river as well.
As for my room - thought it was excellent, bed was a bit hard but I like hard beds. The room was well styled, excellent airconditioning, and bathroom was expansive.
Would definitely stay here again - just be warned, the re are a lot of mosquitos in Chiang Mai - so you will need to expect a few mosquitos in your hotel room (but I'd say that would happen at any hotel in Chiang Mai)
