You can't miss this once you in Chiang Mai...
In fact, six of us were shocked this resort could be so perfect. Me, as a world traveler for 4 continentals and 96 major cities, I think this is one of the best and I found we paid too little and felt a bit guilty about this amount!
Linked rooms in one grand bungalow, full piece of windows plus pure green views and trees ( or I should say it's a jungle ). Huge shower room with wooden made furnishing, nice bed, higher ceiling, good air circulation. Not even mention superb hospitalities plus warmly smile, "Sawadeeka". Very generous space, nice breeze though out the day, a variety of flowers, amazing phytonicd, it's an unique place you may very hard to find.
Well English receptionist and very helpful, good manner staffs, it's definitely a greatest highlight during my whole trip. Wish we can stay longer but we are sure we will be back for our next Chiang Mai trip.

At low season rates the value was...
At low season rates the value was already excellent and then our room was upgraded to a pool villa for easier access with my wife on crutches. The location is 15 minutes out of town. It is a very peaceful and restful setting with well maintained gardens. The meals were all excellent and the service was top notch. The only negative was a very firm mattress.
Excellent boutique hotel - good choice for...
Excellent boutique hotel - good choice for romantic getaway or families with kids. This place is not "in the middle of action" but taxi service is readily available and not expensive at all. Breakfast choices are limited when hotel is not full but overall is a great value for your money.
Deva Montra has a very remote but...
Deva Montra has a very remote but nice peaceful country feel - the facilities and decorations are not premium but reasonably nice and for the price gives very good value for money - to enjoy this hotel more you should stay in the villa with private jacuzzi pool - it's very nice and inspiring. It also has a nice outdoor dining restaurant and morning breakfast is a very pleasant experince. However it is not easy to access and quite deep in the "forest" and having a rented car would be advisable as it will be hard and inconvenient to get a taxi.

I enjoyed staying here for 2 nights. Good service & facilities. One minus is a bit far from downtown but still enjoy nature & relaxation. Recommend to couples with not fancy budget. Will definitely go again once I have another chance.
Overall it is a very nice place...
Overall it is a very nice place to be away from the rush of the city. There is nothing much else to do apart from a nearby fishing pond which you can rent a rod and buy some bait for fishing.
You can also have them to cook for you or order from the menu.
The fishing pond opens daily but the chef is available only in the late afternoon.
You can also loan free mountain bikes from the resort. Just remember to check the brakes and the air in the tyres. Alternatively, rent a car.
There is a small pool in the resort but if you are after a swim, recommend you get the Villa with Pools.
Room service is available athough we feel sorry for them to carry all those dishes to us. The distance between the reception, dinning hall and all cottage and villas are a long walking distance.
If you are having your meals in your room. Be warn. As this is mountain region, leftovers invites ants!
You can also order stuff outside the menu and the chef will advice.
You can also borrow some DVD and MP3 from the reception but the selection is limited. Get your own as they have a DVD player in the room.
There is also free wireless internet in the reception areas only.
Distance to the Airport is only less than 20 mins and there is no need to plan ahead.
I will surely come again but this time, I will get a bigger group as it gets rather lonely up there.

The Baan Deva Montra Hotel was my favourite place in all of Thailand, we stayed there before we travelled around the country and I found myself comparing everywhere we went to the Baan Deva Montra. The staff were so helpful and friendly, it was almost like staying with friends. We stayed in a one bedroom delux pool villa and it was so private and relaxing. I loved every minute of our stay and if we ever travel to Thailand again we will be staying here again only this time for longer!!

Superb vacation at the north! I really enjoy the executive pool villa facility. Great relaxation, great meal, and great accomodation. The owner was very nice and helpful. A little bit rainy, but nice environment. I Will definitely come back again next year.
Had a lovely 3 day break here...
Had a lovely 3 day break here with the family. A nice change from the bustle of central Chiang Mai city. Staff very helpful and courteous. The restaurant was very good. The breakfasts were excellent. Accommodation was good. We chose the 2 bedroom duplex. Only down side was no tea/coffee making facilities. A ceiling fan in the lounge area would have been nice, only aircon in the bedrooms. Overall a nice place to base yourself if you don't want the noise and pollution of the city.
