This was my third stay and second booked thru AsiaRooms(much cheaper than walk up rates). If I had the money I would move in. Everything is perfect in every way. And they remembered me by name. You do need a car to get to the hotel as it is about 15 km from the airport. I can't wait until my return visit next year.

It's very nice hotel and very romantic but the bad thing in this hotel is to far from the city and they have to lock in the break fast.

we stayed here at the beginning of march 07, the hotel was a good 20 min taxi ride from chaing mai city center which suited us as we could visit the city center and then retreat to this oasis, the grounds were breathtaking. our room was very tastefully decorated and spacious with a balcony on the edge of the lake with a good stock of fish and swans that swam to our balcony every morning to eat the bread we threw to them. the staff were very friendly and always willing to help. a very clean and enviromentally friendly hotel serving organic food. my wife had treatment and massage in the spa and it was the best of all the many spas throughout asia that she visited. well done to the staff, manager and owner for getting everything right.

The Horizon Village matches $500/night resorts in the USA. Staff is wonderful and all speak English. Even the owner came to make sure I was happy. The AsiaRoom price was 1,500 Baht less than rack rate plus included full breakfast which was not include in rack rate. You do need a car as the hotel is located about 30 minutes on the road toward Chiang Rai from the Chaing Mai airport. I plan to make this my first choice upon return.
