Very nice staying! Hotels stuff has a lot of missunderstanding in English and also in Thai but it was really too small point to think about so we forget about it all. And we have had a great holiday.

The hotel was breathtaking and the service and amenities perfect. The only change I would suggest is improving the standard of the food and making it much less expensive so that more guests will stay at the hotel for lunch and dinner. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Warm Wishes

Ratilanna is a real five stars hotel....
Ratilanna is a real five stars hotel. I'm gonna try to be as objective as I can be on it. I've stayed there for 4days, with my girlfriend, we rented a deluxe suite. The first day was pretty much disapointed, when we arrived at the airport we used the airport services to get to the hotel, the service was quite cheap, about 120bath from the airport to the ratilanna, BUT the driver left us in a wong hotel next to the Night Market. I think he did on purpose, knowing we didnt know the city; dont pay till you're not sure you arrived at the good place! After a tuktuk trip we eventually arrived at the Ratilanna, the place looks nice, well decorated, build with good materials, but the welcome wasnt as warm as I though it would be. They made us wait about 5mins without any refreshment. After doing the formals they took us to our room. The room was just amasing, really spacious with all the comfort you would ask for. Bedroom : The Bed was huge and confortable, with baldachin. Textile was of good quality, even if we had once some holes in it. Next to the bed you have a control remote permiting you to switch lights of all the bedroom and regulate the air conditioner. In front of you you've got a LCD TV with about 10 channels (dont know about the content since I occasionaly watch Tv). Livingroom : There's a large sofa fronting another LCD. In front of it a coffee table were we took couple of lunch/breakfast. You've also have air conditioner in the livingroom, with no remote. Only a mural controler wich is more than enought too. Balcony : A pretty gem with one table, one large sofa and a swing. The swing is a real pleasure at night, while the pianist plays, with the swiming pool fountains in the back, you can lazy/smoke while relaxing. Bathroom : The bathroom is also huge, and once again there's a TV facing your bath-balneo ( wich is not as efficient as the one you could find in an euro-five too). But its still a little pleasure at the end of the noon before going to have dinner. ( Also there's a fountain placed in a fakewall next to the bath, lovely) The restaurants : There's two restaurant, one a BBQ-Buffet thing formula. I wasnt convinced by it as it's despite what you think cheap (509 Bath to enter), you'll still have to buy your drinks witch brings you to a 700/1000 baths dinner, while in the same time you only eat dépareillés food. The other restaurant of the Ratilanna, next to the ping river is quite marvellous. I mean I've been to a lot of thai restaurant in Chiang-Mai ( as The House, The Rachamankha, the Riverside ... ), and I assure you it was my best food experience in this lovely city. The service was excellent even if hesitant. You can feel they're not sure on how to make things, but they're always trying their best to satisfy you. Situation : They're two sides. The first the hotel is a bit far from the NightMarket / Old city of Chiang-mai. So you'll have to order taxis each time you go out. But don't panik the cost of a drive is quite low. (sometimes needs some gently argue) with about 60/120 baths you'll be able to get in the major area of the city. (tip: try to a get in contact with a taxi-driver operating next to the hotel, get his card and use his services, you'll get some priviledge as a personal client) The otherside is the tranquility, the hotel is located next to the ping river, having breakfast or diner in the hotel is a real pleasure. You feel really priviledge as you're in a little and warm coccoon. They also have a pier and a Cruse formula, for the ones who feel like strolling. (Avoid wine, especially if you're european, most of them are terribles and out of price) Sport Center : Huge but poorly equipped. It still has a hamam and sauna in the ladies and gents. Spa: Didnt try it. Overall : A really good experience, also note that the soundproofing is the achilles heel of this hotel. You can hear your neighboors, especially if they're aussie ! ,p I'll try to upload some pictures after.

Fantastic stay! The hotel has been recommended by a friend and I would now recommend to others. Not as far out of town as I had excepted, a short tuk tuk ride away. Very friendly and helpful staff, they even booked an independent tour (not form their own tour desk) for me late at night for the next day Got an amazing rate on Asia rooms, paid for 3 nights what we would have paid for 1 on the hotel website. Hotel, rooms and facilities for exceptional and decor beautiful. Great breakfast and food, I took my parents and we had a lovely weekend!

We had the most wonderful stay! We got an amazing rate on Asia rooms, we paid for 3 nights what you would normally pay for 1 through the hotel website. We got upgraded by the staff there. Service was exceptional, staff very friendly. Decor is beautiful, facilities great. There was a wedding on whilst we were there which meant we were unable to use the pool or one area of the hotel on that night, but we had been on a tour that day and did not really want to use those areas. I would highly recommend that Ratilanna and happily stay there again.
