This is a very good value hotel...
This is a very good value hotel and has a good location with it being right next to the train station. The room was large and clean, with the staff being very friendly. To get to the city centre costs around 80baht by taxi, or a twenty minute walk. It is ideal for, say a two night stop, when you are out for the day and evening and basically want a good value, friendly and clean hotel. I would stay there again, but unlikely to as I wouldn't use the train to get to Chang Mai from Bangkok. It's very cheap to fly, I found the 1st class overnight train, very dirty and unlike nearly every body wouldn't recommend it.

Nice hotel, Very close to railway station,...
Nice hotel, Very close to railway station, a bit of a walk to get to town, but you can get a free lift from the hotel! Chiang Mai is THE place to go for Songkran! :) {You will get wet... VERY wet!}

Down side was the location and breakfast...
Down side was the location and breakfast not included. It's about 2.5KM to downtown(nightbazaar).

I would reccomend this hotel.Its location not...
I would reccomend this hotel.Its location not as convenient to markets and shops as some, but its beautiful back swimming area and friendly ,not pushy staff are more important for me to enjoy my visit to thailand.

The hotel is located close to the...
The hotel is located close to the railway station, walking distance. It's a short tuktuk drive from the town centre. The hotel resturant is reasonable and the food is good, we ate there every breakfast. There is a travel agent within the hotel, but we just hired a tuktuk for the day, he was so cheap and very informative. E-mail me for his email address if you need his service.

Oasis Hotel is perfect for travel, which use the train,( it is just 5 min walk far away from the train station).and need not a 5 Star Hotel, the room was clean, ample, with TV and refrigerator , the bath was ample also, the mattress was hard, but ok to sleep. Massage in the hotel was very good. Outside is a swimming pool with sun beds. The breakfast buffet in this hotel is not very rich, but ok. You can eat also 7 min far away the is a little good restaurant what I can recommend . Also is a 7 eleven store in the near, other stores , shopping center… will you not find there.
