Hotel quiet and cosy.Everything nice and easy with friendly staff.Nice breakfast and simple food.Like the privacy over big hotels.
The room needed a larger mirror for balance viewing instead of going to the bathroom.
On a whole a very good experience in a nice chic boutique hotel.Being clean most of the time was tops for this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at Shewe Wana....
I enjoyed my stay at Shewe Wana. I am a female and was travelling alone and I had a wonderful time at the hotel without any worries. The owner (Khun Joy) and her staff were all very attentive to my needs. It was truly impressive. If my travels take me back to Chiang Mai, I will be sure to stay there again.

Shewe Wana Boutique Resort & Spa Hotel...
Shewe Wana Boutique Resort & Spa Hotel Chiang Mai is definitely an oasis in the heart of Chiang Mai!!!! This is one true example of a hotel that looks better in person than it does in its pictures - its rooms, grounds, and spa are all beautiful and very well taken care off. Although we didn't get to use it, the pool is another added feature to this lovely place. Its a hidden gem because you wouldn't expect the 'asis feel' by looking at it off the street (mostly becasue its on a busy-ish, unattractive street). We arrived late in the evening but were immediately made to feel at home by the wonderful and accomodating staff, who stayed open late so that they could accomodate our very very late check in. The knowledgable staff were able to recommend sites to visit in our limited time in Chiang Mai. The owner gave specialised recommendations for the new spa and even offered exceptional discount, making my partner's first oil massage one that may never be able to be matched - it was magnificent!
The rooms are well decorated, the bathroom is very modern, with 24 hour secutiry, this place is great find and worth staying at while in Chiang Mai - we'll definitely be back....soon!

We where pleasantly surprised by the Shewe Wana. The room, staff and facilities are exeptional.A really nice feel to this boutique hotel. Hopefully the new major extension wont detract from the ambiance. Great food market nearby for authentic Thai food at locals prices.

We had a very good time at the Shewe Wana hotel.
The staff is very professionnal, trying always to answer your needs, and speaks very good English.
The hotel is well located: close to the center, very close to the train station.
Last but not least, the hotel is very cosy, romantic and relaxing and offers a complete set of services.
The hotel definitely met my expectation based...
The hotel definitely met my expectation based on the budget and what I perceived it to be. They were able to accomodate me for the Spa package purchased which was more reasonable in costing in the end. Overall experience was positive and I may try them out again for my next visit as I have only stay for a night. Saw their new wing which is bigger and should be good for family with kids.
Distance to the Night Market is more than 15 min but is ok if walking in the evening.

We stayed at Shewe Wana 6 nights and it completely fulfilled our expectations, so we absolutely recommend this cute hotel.
The staff was very helpful, kind and efficient. The room, the pool and all facilities were spotless, with lovely thai decoration. The garden sorrouding the pool was like a little forest wich completely makes you feel being out of city, in nature...but only 5 minutes-walk to downtown (actuality, that is the meaning of "Shewe Wana" in thai).
Finally, breakfast and food, just perfect. We thank all staff of the hotel for the lovely time they made us enjoy in Chiang Mai, for which we are looking forward to come back.

Shewe Wana is a charming small hotel, located near of Chiang Mai center, without being in the middle of the confusion. Very helpfull staff, specially the ownwer. Nice rooms, clean, confortable and very quiet. Very good breakfast. Is taken near a small garden and near the pool. Didn't try the SPA but it looked very nice. Very good price for value!

It was very cozy, clean and nicely decorated guest house near the train station. Overall we enjoyed our stay there but we will NOT be back there due to the following two reasons.
The manager's attitude was totally unacceptable, very arrogant, when we claimed the size of room, which was far smaller than the room picture on the web. Needless to say, her attitude ruined our stay there.
To stay there was not cost effective for us. We paid 74USD per night including breakfast though, definitely I can find out any other hotels cost cheaper with the same value.
