This hotal has very good location, near Tha Phae Gate but in a very quiet lane. It's very easy to rent a motercycle ,go to night bazzar, or go to Sunday walking street in just few minutes. It's not a big hotel and without swimming pool and elevator, that should be taken into consideration before booking. Other facilities are quite good. Staff are kind and with good English skill. The breakfast is not buffet type but could be arranged to fit your taste. The room is clean and tasteful. Travelers could have very pleasant period during staying in Portico 21. I absolutely will choose it for next time visit.

We absolutely loved this guest house! The rooms were decent sized and spotlessly clean. The guest house is in an excellent location nearby many restaurants, bars, and a short 15 minute walk to the night bazaar. The owners of the guest house make your stay extremely personable. They always greet you at the front door whether coming or going, and are happy to address any problems you may encounter. Every morning, there is a complimentary continental breakfast which is fantastic! Without a doubt, we will someday return to Chiang Mai and stay at Portico 21.

This hotel is a little gem.Situated on a quiet soi within walking distance to night market,old city,weekend markets ect.The lobby and breakfast room look like a page from a glossy design magazine.
The staff are lovely and oh so helpful ,the whole place is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is fine.
It hardly matters that there is no bar or restaurant as there are plenty nearby.
