Xmas In Chiang Mai
What a beautiful hotel. Right in the centre of Chiang Mai and yet calm and quiet. We had a magic time here over Christmas and were so lucky to be included in the Christmas party put on by the Staff for their guests. Great fun and a lovely night especially the Christmas Carols sung by the local choir (in Thai) what a tremendous night! I can recommend the Bodhi Serene to anyone staying in Chiang Mai. Don't miss the weekend market which is just around the corner

My wife and I stayed at the Bodhi Serene for 10 nights; 1 thru 11 November 2009. Overall we were disappointed with our choice of hotel on this occasion. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and things worked, which is not always the case in Thailand. On the minus side: Breakfast consisted of modest portions of a limited range of food items; our room (granted it was the most basic room type) was very sparsely furnished--1 chair on the balcony, one in the room, no drawer space for clothes, no mirror above the "dressing table" and the daily cleaning service wasn't satisfactory. At Bt3050.00 per night we expected more. John(UK) and Jan (Thai) Morris, Singapore.

We had high hopes on this hotel,...
We had high hopes on this hotel, we stayed 3 times in tamarind village. Room was a little dirty, balcony really bad, mini bar was not filled, bedlamp didn't work. I made a complain at the reception, nothing was done during our stay (4 days)Last day: taxi was waiting I had to pay for a chocolate bar, we told the receptionist that it was ours, we didn't take it out of the mini bar, they could check the amount. They didn't check the bar, the wrapping came out of the litter bin!!!!!, so beware: the people check your garbage. This was the most unfriendly hotel during the 8 years that we visit Thailand. The only positive: the restaurant is cheap and very good.

It has a nice 'boutique' arrangement, and felt at home with the provisions. However, it appears to be not fully known to taxi operators and other form of private transportation means. As I have an elderly lady with me(mother-in-law) with me, it was not suitable for her, as she prefers more continential arrangement with proper lobby and other amenities in the grand hotel. Communication is only possible via transport - as there are not many places near the hotel that can be visited by walking. Overall, it is a great place - and friendly service.

The Bodhi Serene hotel is with his typical architecture a very zen and quiet hotel between the walls of the old town of Chang Mai. It has a wondefull pool on the topfloor where you can relax after a day of visiting the town or having done a trekking to the mountain villages. The personnel is very helpfull and tries to solve problems immediately.

my husband and i stayed here januaary 2009 4 nights, this hotel is everything a boutique hotel should be. the rooms are very large and extremely stylish, bathroom beautiful with the largest spa bath iv'e ever seen. pool crystal clear and the hotels position is walking distance maybe 5mins to a vareity of restaurants and bars. a stay at this hotel is most enjoyable and we would not hestitate to go back there. most boutique hotels are in this price range so although it seems quite expensive for thailand i think it is worth the dollars. regards Graham and Vicki White kidgeeridge farm conjola AUSTRALIA
