No hot water, bed very hard. Staff slow to help. Did not explain breakfast time.
I have stayed in a lot of Thai hotels over the last ten years. This is the one I have been the most disappointed in. There was absolutely no hot water coming from the taps in the deluxe room we stayed in. I didn't find that out till 10.30pm, so didn't change room. Cold water coming out smelled like sulfur. When telling staff about it in the morning, no immediate effort was made to correct the problem. They did offer to change room but I was about to check out)
The room was on the third floor of some very steep steps. I wouldn't want to have had any disability.
Breakfast was an average affair.
Its a beautiful location with a nice pool, but as is so common in this part of the world the surface looked good, but the important stuff wasn't maintained. At 10pm the Friday night the entrance to the hotel was shrouded with incense smoke as the staff prayed to the statue of the Hindu god Ganesh. My feeling is that if they put as much effort into their customers as they did into their prayer (presumably because the economy is so poor right now) it would be a much better hotel.
Massages are advertised on signs outside very cheaply, but they are only cheap until a certain time in the day. After that, they become much more expensive than other places a half block up Nimmenheimen Road. Its trick advertising.
Very dissapointed and will not use this hotel again.
