A bit out of the way
A great place to stay if you don't want to be in the hub of things. In saying that, town was only a taxi ride away if you didn't mind waiting 10 or 15 mins for a taxi. They do have an airport shuttle which we booked for a certain time and it was there waiting. There's a 7Eleven right out the front if you want to stock up on a few provisions. Three of us stayed in the 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment, which worked out to be roughly $40 a night each which I thought was marvelous value. There was a microwave and hotplate but the only crockery/cutlery/ utensils were bowls, spoons, glasses. Not much variety or a great choice of food for breakfast but what there was, was edible as long as you didn't want your food hot. We ate dinner there the 1st night which I would recommend as long as your arn't in a hurry. I did find most of Chiang Mai was like this though. The night bazaar was very good with items that I didn't see in Bangkok, so if you see something you like buy it, as they were also usually cheaper. I had a shirt made when we visited the thai silk company and told them that we were leaving at 8am the next morning. They had it delivered to the motel at 7am as promised. Make sure you have Baht though as they don't have money exchange in the hotel.
If the hoteliers do read these comments, and want to know how to make improvements for foreigners ... we like our food hot, so I think your should check your breakfast items. We also like to be served dinner all at once. ( If there are 4 people, each persons meal should be brought out at the same time). It's no use having hotplates, kettles, microwaves, if there are no pots, pans, plates, cups, knives, forks.
One more suggestion would be to have some service around the pool. You will probably find you make more money if your customers don't have to come inside to you to order a drink. With these improvements, I would be giving a 6/6
