Poor quality bed set
Quality of bed is so poor; flat mattress, color of bed sheet, noisy bed and headboard that happened for every single move....
The guy that serves at the counter at night should have learned what is service minded and be more proactive
All other issue in general are okay...

This was my first trip out of Australia and I understood that we wern't paying top dollar for accomodation but still this room and guest house was horrible. firstly we were put on the 4th/top Floor and with no elevator thats a total of 65 steps to our room. The room itself was very basic, the bed was rock soild and so were the pillows. the bathroom didnt drain very well or sometimes at all, the cleaners didnt replace the toilet paper....therefore left us with no toilet paper at all. breakfast was quite crappy to honest, compared to other accomodation. so sum it up, if your tossing up between here and someone else....go the other place. luckily we got a refund for the nights we did not stay and we got out of there and went down to 'The Small' Hotel....it was great there highly recommend it.

The room was fine but the drainage in the bathroom was awful. The water sat on the floor for ages, and the hot water for the shower kept switching itself off. The staff were fine about coming to sort it out, but it was a massive inconvenience. The wireless in the hotel is temporamental, and you have to pay to use the internet in the adjoining cafe. Breakfast was fine but a bit boring. It's a great location for the Sunday Walking Market and the Night Market, but there are a few bars exremely close that are very noisy until around 1am. There is also a very noisy pump in the hotel that bangs loudly every 2 minutes or so throughout the night. If you need sleep, or sleep lightly, don't stay here.

Very good experience. The staff is extremely kind, very good service. Breakfast is great, the room is big, nice and really clean.
The location is perfect: just near Thapae Gate (the old city), and not far from the river and its night activity (restaurants...).
We bought some T shirts in their shop and did a one day trip with their tour agency. We finally stayed 4 nights.
I really recommend this guesthouse, they deserve to be known!

The reception staff are friendly & helpful and speak good English!
