This sounded like a great little hotel...
This sounded like a great little hotel that was a little different, unfortunatley we found it to be very different. The bottom line is it is badly designed. There is no power outlet in the bathroom so the hairdryer is on the desk part in the room but there is no mirror there. No hook on the back of the bathroom door, the towel rack is tiny and at the other end of the bathroom yet there are 2 walls that are empty and could quite easily accomodate a proper towel rack. No storage for your clothes just an open air hanging space. The balcony door opens onto the air conditioner so the door only partly opens up and of course if your out there when it cranks up well you won't need the hairdryer. Bed was wider than longer and if your like me 6"3 then your feet hand over the end of the bed. Colour scheme is all pinks and oranges which are stimulating colours not exactly what you want for a peacful night. I'm a straight man and I picked up these design floors imagine what someone with some knowledge on the subject would find.
Breakfast was ok, the bar downstairs really expensive compared to the others just steps up the street. While the staff were friendly they admitted they were understaffed and a little stressed. We had a private taxi driver and when he turned up they turned him away without contacting us. The pool is best described as a plunge pool even the staff admit it it very small. All in all a very bad experience.
The good news is that it would not take a lot to fix it however until they do we would not stay there again or at any of the other Small Hotel Group properties.
