Great hotel but wrong side of old city

Loved the hotel, the breakfast, the staff and the pool. The hotel is on the west side of the old city a 10 minute walk from restaurants and shops and a 20baht ride from the night market. It is surrounded by language schools and the women's prison so a little dark and quiet to walk back to at night. Bed was hard as is usual in Thailand but they gave u a doona to sleep on if you asked.

Excellent hospitality

The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much for them. The hotel environment was very peaceful even though the hotel is situated next to a main street. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good value for money. Good location. Walking distance to the Saturday and Sunday night markets. Public transport on the red mini bus was convenient and cheap. Its a safe area. Highly recommended.

overall very good hotel

overall it was a very nice hotel.
nice room, nice breakfast, and good location.
just a few things that were icky.
the electric tea pot they provided had molds on the bottom.
the disposable razor had obvious signs that it was used.
the slippers were still damp but were wrapped in tight plastic bags.
