This is our second stay at this hotel in 2 years , the place and service is just the same . perfect.We were there for 7 days ang recieved a free bus shuttle to the airport , food especially breakfast has a wide range to choose from. The reception staff, the hmong lift guide , the wait staff etc are excellant ,the swimming pool brilliant!!! The tour services at the hotel are a bit dear , pays to shop around but overall it gets a 10/10 from me.
Very nice location, in the river, with wonderful views. It is a good 5-star option to stay in Chiang Rai, but this standard hotel could be in many other locations. I expected a more thai-style hotel.
The hotel is very well run. Most of the people working here have a good grasp of English. Price, you will get cheaper in other parts of town, but not the quality of service. It depends what you want. Food was always very good.
Although we paid for a standard room, due to our anniversary, the hotel upgraded us and gave us a suite! The staff was welcoming,smiling all the time.
No bad words. If we visit the area again, we will stay at this hotel for sure.
Very attractive hotel in a very peaceful setting. The location is not perfect, but the hotel has a shuttle service. Walking to the night Market is probably impracticle. Nice pool area and fitness center. Breakfast was good and served in an attractive setting.
Stay 2006 Dec 26 - 30; superior room, twin; as a resort facility, this hotel offers all the amenities. Check-in/check-out was quick and efficient. Service was impeccable and my room was clean and nicely laid out. I didn't make use of the restaurants and shops. Pool area is gorgeous but the weather was too cool during my visit. The hotel is located on a river island and is nicely landscaped for pleasant walks. Though slightly isolated from town center, it offered an hourly shuttle van to the night market area during the evenings. But if you're willing to walk it's only 20 minutes. Highly recommended if you need a quiet, elegant place to stay.
My stay at Dusit Island resort was satisfactory. Food was average but service was a little poor. The rooms were clean but a little tired looking and could do with a revamp. Not reak value for money but the location was good.
The lack of service was disappointing as the hotel has strange practices and want to charge every single little service that should in reality be included in the overall service hotel, given the price. For example, the hotel is far out of the city center and charge each customer 400B one way for using the shuttle service. For a 4 star hotel, this is the kind of service that should be provided as complimentary, given the hotel location and level. They charge 100B for using the sauna or steam room whereas it is complimentary in any high level category of hotel. It is quite low level of service thinking. Very disappointing.
