This was my fourth stay at the Dusit Island. I won't stay elsewhere. The AsiaRooms rate was cheaper than the walkup rate. The service, food, facility are top notch. They serve the best pizza in Thailand. This hotel equals the best in the USA. Mark

Although we were pre-booked the room was...
Although we were pre-booked the room was not ready –they came with the extra bed after we went to the room. Also the room was not big enough for the extra bed. Poor transfer to the city and very expensive transfer to the airport.

I stayed at the Dusit Island Resort...
I stayed at the Dusit Island Resort for three nights at the end of November , and i have to say it's probably the best hotel i've ever stayed in, i would definately recommend this hotel. Greethings Guy.

A fabulous resort, so relaxed, and the position in the middle of the river is just so COOOOOOOL. Very quiet hotel, not for the young one's really, for the more mature and at the better end of the market. Great breakfast, and the steakhouse on the 10th floor is well worth the price, although as for all of Thailand, expect to pay at the upper end for your wine. Five minutes to town on the rickshaw, or a twenty minute walk. The boat trip (B800)up the river to the hilltribe villages is a MUST. Chaing Rai in itself is a cute, laid back and VERY friendly place, good selection of restaurants & cuisines. Don't expect a hot spot like Pattaya or Patpong, this place is about relaxation, nature & culture. The people are just lovely, they make you feel like you're on another planet. Highly recommended, not only will we go back, but we're now thinking "What a place to retire to!

This big hotel, beautifully located on an island in the river Kok, is a good haven to start your survey on the great utmost north of Thailand. The river view, with strong current, is magnificent. We, as a couple, booked the standard room (above superior) with a double bed, however at first the reception directed us, 2 guys, to a (superior) twin bedded room. After straigthening this error on the spot by the very friendly staff, we got the standard room at the opposite side on the same floor with the river and mountain view we'd expected. Realy cool! The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of choises, very fresh! The pool area is nice, beautifully situated surrounded by flowers and trees next to the river.

We spent the first three nights of...
We spent the first three nights of our honeymoon at the Dusit and had a wonderful time. The pool and bar are great and the staff were very helpful with arranging golf and transport. Thank you.

A very relaxing stay in this resort,...
A very relaxing stay in this resort, it provides good breakfast and restaurants. One can find most of the things in the resort and also use the free shuttle service to visit and shop at the city centres.

This was our first visit to this...
This was our first visit to this hotel. It is in a wonderful position overlooking the Kok River and towards the mountains. It is peaceful and calm. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The staff are lovely and helpful. The tour desk is excellent. It is a beautiful place to stay and the swimming pool is gorgeous. The bar service around the pool could be improved. Would stay here again.
