A greate place at the Kok River...
A greate place at the Kok River next to Chiang Rai city. Nice and service minded staf, excellent breakfast and lunch buffé. A big pool suitable for youngsters, families and seniors. The room was clean and nice. The only minus was that there was only a thin door between our room and the next room with a one inch (approx. 2,5cm) gap between the door and floor (room no. 2107 and 2108). Very much noice between the rooms...But anyway, me and my fiancé enjoyed our stay at the Rimkok Resort and Spa.

The hotel is a little bit far...
The hotel is a little bit far from the city, but the natural surroundings are beautiful .The rooms are big and nicely furnished.

The hotel has lovely grounds and is by the river. Its not that far to town. Their own shuttle bus is poorly timed and expensive as they charge per head. The gardens are gorgeous, the rooms are just above average but we had ants in the bathroom which eventually they cured after several sprayings. Some rooms are a LONG walk to the reception/pool/restaurant. The worst thing by far was the breakfast, lacked imagination was bland and the same boring thing every day and was ALWAYS cold. Overall its well worth the money if you want to be somewhere quiet and in great surroundings.

They did not leave me enough toilet...
They did not leave me enough toilet paper. I called for it but no one brought it up so I had difficulty finding it on my own late at night. Breakfast was great.

Despite the location this hotel is worth...
Despite the location this hotel is worth a visit, huge gargen, located at the river. But the shuttle bus to Chiang Rai should be free.

The hotel was really bad. We have...
The hotel was really bad. We have booked the deal in Asia rooms for 30 USD per night so maybe they just gave us the worst room they had I don't know....But that room was not worth even 10 USD! The bathroom was simply old, dirty, with old plastic bath hanging....There were a lot of insects in the room, also there were dirty near the bed in electficity instalation place. The bed sheets were really old so all impresion is really bad! Do not expect bath coat, hair dryer, slippers - and they call it the resort! Our advice is to pay extra 30 USD and stay at least in clean and more morden hotel. We are in Thailand for 3 weeks traveling a lot and this was the worst hotel from all we had stayed in Thailand.

It was an absolutely wonderful 2 days.Everyone was very helpful and very friendly.Will come back later for a longer vacation in the future.It is a very romantic resort that caters to couples and the ambiance is breathtaking.The head Chef is out of this world with extroadinary cuisine.Sam & Ree Gallant

We had asked for a triple room...
We had asked for a triple room but it was actually a double with an extra bed in it. However the room was sufficiently large to accommodate this. The resort is in large spacious grounds and the surrounding gardens are well tended. We had a room that overlooked the pool and gardens and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was fine but it did feel as if it could do with renovation and indeed all the rooms on the ground floor were having new tiled fllors laid and looked as if they were to undergo a total overhaul. The swimming pool was huge with plenty of areas to relax around it. This overlooked the river with a park on the opposite bank. You could take a longtail boat trip from the river bank of the hotel. Breakfast was substantial and the food at other times was alos very good. This resort is on the outskirts of Changmai but a shuttle bus is available at restricted times to take you into the centre. We did find it a little difficult at times to communicate with the staff on reception but the lady in the car and trip hire desk was very helpful indeed. If you are getting a taxi back from the centre it should cost around 200 Bahts. We experienced our first "Mukkutah" meal - a bit like a Thai Barbecue but you cook it yourself at the table -just off the main driveway to Mae Fah Luang University. Some of the students took us there. For as much as you could eat only 69 bahts. Very entertaining but do not forget the mosquito spray before you dine. We used the resort minibus to get us to our early morning flight back to Bangkok. Very efficient.
