We stayed in about 6 hotels during our trip to Northern Thailand. Best Western Golden Pine is one of the two hotels which left the deepest impression. We checked in after 10 pm; tired as we may be, the look of the room was a sure pick-me-up. It was spacious and the wooden floors gave it a homely look. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and well-laid out. Our balcony faces the padi fields. It was very nice to be able to see the quiet and sunny views of the padi field in the morning. Breakfast was very ordinary with the usual american breakfast spread. Wish there were a wider selection though. We like the fact that the cabin-style of the rooms created a "village" feel to the hotel. Too bad we could not enjoy the pool as it was just too cold then. Will definitely go back there again.
