We realy enjoyed our stay at Homestay Chiang Ray. The location is realy beautifull and Tony and Pat are doning everything to make you feel at home. In the morning we enjoyed a very good breakfeast on the terrace overlooking the rice fields and in the evening lovely Thai diner. We would go there again!
Homestay is a lovely place to stay. After Chiang Mai it was lovely to stay in such as peaceful location. Tony and Pat are both very friendly and very helpful and try extremely hard to make your stay there as comfortable as they can. Pat's cooking is delicious which makes it so easy to stay and eat there every night rather than go out to eat. We did wonder if being out of town would cause us any problems but Tony is willing to take you into town once a day without charge. He also picked us up on our arrival at the bus station and when we left took us to the airport. They are also both very helpful with suggestions about where to visit and help plan your trips. There is a small friendly bar within a 5 minute walk called the Kangeroo Bar. Whilst we were there we hired a car to do the Golden Triangle tour - Tony helped us plan our route. Would recommend a visit to the The Hall of Opium (not the house of Opium) just outside Sop Ruak.
The best of every thing, to relax or to make trips. You only have to ask the owner and tell him what you would like to do and he will advice you and explain you the best way to go there and if you want he will book it and take you there, super helpfull. Also with transport from the airport or to town you only have to ask. And the food is exelend, every thing from breakfast to diner all of it is home cooking all fresh and very tasty to your likings. Home stay is out off town so nice to relax around the swimmingpool on the comfotable beds surounding it in the garden, only the sounds of nature so peacefull. Itt tells it all when I say " I am going back there " and if I could, to morrow! Thanks for the lovely time!
This is a lovely place set in beautiful countryside. We were kindly given a free upgrade as a better room was available than the one we'd booked - it was well-furnished and spotlessly clean, overlooking the garden. Phaet and Tooney were kind hosts and made us very welcome. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh fruit and warm bread. Its 6km from town, but Tooney provides 1 free ride in daily. A short walk away is also a small friendly bar called 'Kangaroo Bar'.
This hotel was excellent, quiet, just out of town but very easy to get into town with great hosts who will be happy to help and point you in the right direction, with some great curries too. A very relaxing and well run family hotel
Great place for families, very welcoming hosts who provided a real 'family environment'. Great food, rooms comfortable but basic. Location is really lovely, overlooking rice paddies, a temple and a limestone hill! Hosts were lovely people who provided excellent advice and service. Very, very hot and smoky in April!
We arrived late one night to find a floodlit pool, a cold beer and wine and warm and welcoming hosts. Tony and Pat did everything possible to make our stay comfortable - including driving us places and arranging our future travel.
It is a little way out of town but we found the peace and quiet, not to mention the views over fields towards a temple, very relaxing.
So good that we even stayed an extra night.
The Homestay is a bit out of town but the owners could not have been more helpful, taking us in to town and picking us up.You can rent motor scooters or push bikes from Homestay.Very clean rooms, The tours form Homestay are the best value I have had, packing a lot in. All in all a very good stay.
