for the price i paid it is impossible to have better. the breafest was all time the same both it is the simple inconveniants.

The hotel was kind enough to send someone to fetch me in town when my friend and I was lost when we first arrived.The hotel did not even charge us for the inconvenient caused. Neither did the van driver was to receive the tip as we gave out of thanks and appreciation.

The Bluewave Hua Hin is a nice hotel, right on the beach was great for us as travelling around Asia became tiring and we wanted to be near Bangkok for our flight but also by the beach for a rest!! The breakfast was good and the shuttle into the centre convenient, staff are friendly too. The rooms are very big, we had a view of the beach which was also nice. We would stay there again.

Good budget hotel. Great location for beach lovers. Enjoyed my stay immensely. One small criticism-male restaurant staff couldn't understand English.
We spent a week 9th to 16th...
We spent a week 9th to 16th July 05 at the Blue Wave hotel and were very pleased. Although high rise it had comfortable rooms with air con, a beautiful swimming pool and magnificent views. Staff were very helpful and although the restaurant menu was a little limited the free shuttle bus every couple of hours to and from Hua Hin gave the option to eat in the town.Pool overlooked the beach which was right next to the hotel so could lay on the beach for the breeze and then cool off in the pool. Very quiet while we were there although during the high season the pool area would not cater for masses (only 4 parasols and not that many beds).All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was incredibly cheap. I would definitely go again.

The hotel balcony is a plus point....
The hotel balcony is a plus point. Managed to stay at level 11 and get a nice view of the sea, although its not directly sea facing. The hotel is slightly worn out, needs a nice repaint, that will do the job. Location is not that great, journey to Hua Hin town takes about 15 mins, B$130 1 way (standard price, privately run taxis or tuk tuk). 2 hrly free shuttle service to Hua Hin is available from the hotel, with 1st serives starts at 1000 hrs and last service ends at 2000 hrs.
Breakfast is okie, pool is slightly old. The hotel needs a upgrade. But then, after upgrading, hotel room prices will be definetely increased. Rooms are big, aircon does not provide thermostat.
Otherwise I will recommend the Blue Wave Beach resort to any other travellers.

Great food at restaurant, views to sea from everyroom, friendly staff and fastest roomservice I have found anywhere... Peaceful location! Courtesy bus to HuaHin (15 mins) is great service. Worth of the every penny! The Blue Wave Beach Resort is recommended!
I have stayed here at least six...
I have stayed here at least six times in the last 5 years and for the most part always enjoyed my stay. My last stay at the Blue Wave Beach resort was two years ago and the hotel rooms were getting a bit worn out so for the last two years, I have stayed elsewhere.
I was recently told that they had renovated many of their rooms. "They" were correct and the rooms are in much better shape. Breakfast was not so good as there were several tour groups there and the food was not replaced when it ran out.
The Blue Wave Beach resort's Location is excellent and the viewsespecially at night are great. I would highly recommend a seafood restaurant owned by "Appen", a short 100 meters walk down the beach towards town. It primarily serves local Thais but all are welcome and the food is great and prices are reasonable. I always eat there when I am in Hua Hin.
I dropped by the hotel lounge one night while there was a small group of musicians playing with one female vocalist. She sang pop songs and did a good job in my opinion.

Reasonable hotel for low price. Nice location right on beach which is uncrowded. Pool is nice but no shade in afternoon.Food was atrocious although but nice Thai seafood restaurant right beside hotel on beach was excellent value and saved our holiday.The Blue Wave Beach Resort gets crowded with Scandanavian package tours and breakfast can be bit of scrum at times. Large rooms with large balconies were good and free shuttle transport every 2 hours approx into town was great. Easy to get local transport back from town after last shuttle at 8-15pm in evenings.
