Most rooms are small.  No room for...
Most rooms are small.  No room for visitors.  You rarely glimpse the sea.  If you have children, the "connecting" arrangement via the balcony is awkward.  It's difficult for a family to be in a room together.  The good news: most problems won't be noticed by singles or couples.  This remains one of the best hotels in Thailand for families for one major reason.  The pool is outstanding -- maybe the best in the country.  The staff are engaging, welcoming and graciously helpful.  The Italian restaurant is a pleasant surprise, the poolside restaurant is a winner, unflustered by custom orders, and the breakfast buffet is one of the best.  The bottom line is we'll be back.  The kids insist.

I am a Hyatt platinum gold passport...
I am a Hyatt platinum gold passport member and a frequent guest at the Hyatt regency Hua Hin. The room was lovely - The beds are incredibly comfortable, comparable to the Westin Heavenly Beds. Children had a ball on the water slide (good for adults too!) The swimming pools are fantastic, very good children's pool with small man made beach. Horse riding for all ages is available on the beach (not offered by the hotel). Otherwise - our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! We would recommend this hotel to anyone who love the truely relaxing.
