Old and Tired
This hotel was the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. It was hard to believe that it was a Marriott!
The room rate was $185 and didn't include breakfast. It looks like they have not done anything with the rooms for 10 years. All the wood in the room was chipped and they have made no effort to clean or cover it up. The head board was full of dust.
On par with an ok 2 star hotel.
The receptionists are not very well trained....
The receptionists are not very well trained. When I asked for assistance to make a call to a local agent, the first word from the receptionist was that I have to pay for that call. I am surprised that service from the hotel is tatamount to money, even for a phone call.I have been to other hotels, and this is the first time that I received such an unpleasant response.
The breakfast was not that great either.

What can I say, my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Hotel. A perfect spot for a family vacation. The pool, beach,dining was excellent. The local life was very interesting to see. Dining out and the nite life was quite jazzi. We will stay their again in the near future. I would recommend the Marriott to anyone. Thanks to Asiarooms.

Really good stay overall. The staff in general is really professional and friendly.
However, we were disapointed with the kids club. I was planning to let my kids (2 young ones) there for 2 hours.
I asked if someone could be in charge of the kids club as nobody was around during the opening hours. Once I dropped my kids there, the woman in charge just put TV on and left the room (I don't know for how long!!). A friend of mine went there and saw the kids alone so she looked for the lady who had left to the bar close by.
Once back in the room, the only thing my kids did was watching TV (while they were supposed to do other activities).
So it didn't leave a great impression and I will be more carefull next time, knowing one of reasons I chosed the hotel was because of the kids club...
Despite this, the rest of our stay was really pleasant.

I feel I was quite satisfied overall with the hotel, I have to admit that it was a little far away from the city center and in hot months it is sometimes painful to have to walk downtown or to try and bargain a fair price with the tuk tuks or taxis.. I think the hotel should incorporate an inclusive (free) shuttle bus for guests which drops them off and picks them up from a spot in the city center every 1 or 2 hours.

Very nice resort. Pool area was nice, but not very safe for small children, which we have. Food was excellent and restaurants allow children under 12 to eat free with an adult...plastic plates and everything, perfect! Room was plenty large and beds very comfy. Bathroom was a bit small. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would most likely come back again.

MARRIOTT is in south of town of HUA HIN. Hotel is located on the beach with not too much people on it. The swimming pool is nice and there is a lot of restaurants inside the hotel. They are rather expensive but as usual in a 4 star hotel. At 5 minutes walk from hotel there is a main Mall Center with a lot of shops and supermarket. The main point (HUA HIN) is the very expensive price of " Tuk Tuk " and taxis (there is no meter) when you want to go outside. It will be 200 to 300 Bath (5 to 8 dollars) for 3 or 4 kilometers. According to Bangkok price of taxis (airport - downtown which is 36 kilometers for 320 / 350 Bath + airport fee : 50 Bath + Highway toll : 65 bath) this is very (very) expensive. Rent a car is a good way to avoid taxis fares in HUA HIN ...

Level of the service was great, as well as security. The place is ideal for families and seniors. Quality of the food was very good as well, although the choice of food at breakfast could be more plentiful, especially regrading cheese and cakes. Definitely a place to go back to, and to recommend to friends and relatives.
