Overall I found Takiab Beach Resort Hotel, a pleasant stay. There was an initial mix up where we where given 2 single beds instead of 1 double/queen bed, but with a bit of discussion with the hotel staff we where given the appropriate room. Further investigation showed that the problem was with "Asia rooms" not being able to completely confirm exact specifications of the room rather than the hotel itself. The hotel is not within easy walking distance of Hua Hin but transportation is easy enough, just watch out though as the drivers will try and charge farangs (foreigners) substantially excessive rates. Bikes, both push and motor can be rented from the hotel at reasonable rates. The Beach is a very short walk from the hotel and is much less crowded than the main beach at Hua Hin. I definitely recommend this hotel.
