our stay at wora bura
Beautiful setting and gardens......well maintained, clean...... friendly helpful staff, excellent treatments in the spa, lovely pool, fabulous breakfast.... my only criticism is regarding the restaurant on the beachfront....we arrived after travelling for 24hours and went there for a meal...instead of the advertised fresh tuna/wasabi salad I was given a tinned tuna salad.The second course was very average although my daughter enjoyed her soup..as a consequence we ate elsewhere for the remainder of our neals which was a shame because the setting is so lovely.

Disappointed
Hi,
If you are a modernist, don't even think about this place as they are trying to replicate (poorly) the era of King Rama 5. Unfortunately the attitude and the style of management of this resort didn't seem to have been developed beyond King Rama 5 era.
The staff were friendly individuals, but clueless, confused and misinformed. The place lack management badly.
I had requested a sea view unit. Upon arrival they didn't seem to have any idea about this. when asked about my special request they said they actually didn't have any such units at all. So it is garden view then. I asked why they hadn't inform me about it when they received the booking 10 days prior to my arrival, they responded that they actually did inform Asia rooms about it and thus it's their fault not to have notified me! Later I found out that they did have ocean view units, again when confronted with the information they replied," well you have to pay way more for that one!"
Food was mediocre at best. We ordered a seafood basket that arrived at our table one hour and 10 minutes later! These sea creatures seem to have been out of the sea for a very long time. They food was cold and tasteless. We ordered some fried rice, just to get something down before we fainted of hunger, it came hot this time but it took a good 45 minutes.
I feel I was duped for the 4,300 THB that I paid to this resort. Will never ever go back there again!

Very green, picturesque property located near Khao...
Very green, picturesque property located near Khao Takiab fishing vilage South of Hua Hin. The staff got a few details wrong about our reservations from Asia rooms (we had asked for two twin beds preferably on lower floor)Also they insisted that we had to pay for the childrens Breakfast which was clearly shown as complimentary on the reservation sheet from Asia rooms. they took a while to contact Asia rooms and even when this was confirmed we were given a bill to pay after breakfast the next day. had to again go to the front desk and repeat the same exercise. besides this the stay was excellent. the infinity pool was fabulous and the beach was perfect.The gym,Kids club and business centre were great.The hotels courtesy shuttle into town was very useful.

We stayed for the second time and...
We stayed for the second time and once again enjoyed the hotel. Excellent rooms, friendly staff, good pool but mostly a bit shallow,nice gardens,had a car so did not use the shuttle but only 5 minutes to Hua Hin town.Beach depends on the tide but low tide during the day made for a wide beach this time.Breakfast is OK with fruit & juices acceptable, breads and pastries good. Hot breakfast is a bit strange with two soups and various dishes better placed at lunch or dinner.Egg station is good but could do with some grilled tomatoes, baked beans etc to placate the English & Australians and less of the boiled local sausages sitting in warm water! Why no Asian/Thai noodle dishes? Coffee is rubbish, need a proper coffee machine. Overall very good resort though.

Beautifully styled small and personal Hotel. The room we had was amazing, (deluxe) and was enormous and beautifully furnished. Every care to detail was taken, and the twice daily maid service set this hotel apart in terms of standard. Even the ice was refilled twice a day - and orchids left on the pillows at the evening "turn down" service. True luxury :-) On the down side, the breakfast was nothing special, although adequate. I have family and friends in Hua Hin, and wanted to invite them to join us for Breakfast one day, but having been told it would be 650 Baht per person, (£12) we decided not to bother - that is a rip off price for Thailand, and it really is just an "average" breakfast - so not worth that! Overall I would definitely recommend this Hotel. Staff were professional and friendly, and the room could not be better for the price we paid.

For an upgraded beach/holiday city like Hua...
For an upgraded beach/holiday city like Hua Hin, this is value for money, good food, excellent breakfast buffet and a majestic pool.Spotless space rooms, and friendly staff. However you need your own 'wheels' because the resort is not central located.

Very nice hotel.5km out of HUA HIN...
Very nice hotel.5km out of HUA HIN but the Shuttle Service 6times per day is taking you inside the city for free. Verry good service and beautiful pool.

Wora Bura is a lovely, remote faraway hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which is very spacious. It was definitely a pleasant stay esp. for those who like quietness. Moving around in motorbike would be good choice than taking taxi, which tends to be higher price as the hotel is 5km from town. Do not get cheated by local agencies who organise outdoor sea trip, esp those that suggest the island Jahh!! They claimed is a newly open site for diving but it was not true, as most coral were dead & come with many poison sting shell!! Very dangerous.

Overall our stay was nice even though...
Overall our stay was nice even though a bit far from town. The shuttle service provided free of charge operates rather seldom thus enabling local taxis to have some turnover. Breakfast selection offers a wide range of lunch items while typical breakfast items could have a wider choice. If you want to have your room been made up in the morning sometimes you need to wait until somehow in the afternoon. Towels at the pool are provided foc and are nicely placed for the guest by the pool attendant. The happy hour after lunch (from 2 - 3) is a great idea! Staff are generally very friendly and helpful but at times a bit slow and not very attentive, especially in the food outlets.
