We (including my mother and father) stayed...
We (including my mother and father) stayed here for 3 nights in two adjacent garden view rooms and were impressed with the room and resort. At the price of 1500 Baht per room per night, I would definitely stay here again.
The rooms were large, clean and well furnished, with all the standard amenities of a 3 or 4 star hotel. There are outdoor deck chairs overlooking a pond, but we didn't use them.
The resort is located about 10 minute walk from the bridge over River Kwai. There are shuttle busses from the hotel (at a cost) to town, but easy to walk to the bridge, where on the other side of the river are restaurants, toursit shops and public transport/taxis. We always walked, even walked back at night time.
The resort itself is very pleasant, containing many walkways and rivers/ponds between buildings. And right on the river (some rooms overlook the river).
The pool was a highlight. It was large and had swim-up bar, basketball rings (on the edge of the pool) and waterfall features. We made an effort to get back from touring by 3pm or 4pm to get in the pool for a couple of hours. And there was a second 25 metre lap pool.
There are other facilities (tennis, snooker, pub, karaoke, darts, bicycles) but all at a reasonable cost (for Thailand). It didn't look like many people were using them - it would be a better atmosphere if these were free, or very cheap (20-30 Baht).
We ate at both restaurants at the resort. The brasserie was slightly better (food, service, price), but the Chinese was still ok (although quite slow on the service). There are several restaurants on the other side of the river which are just as good (well at least the one we tried was), but cheaper.
Overall, I was impressed with the resort, and at the price, would stay there again.
