Stay was very good. Only bad thing was it took a very long time to get my luggage brought to the desk when checking out, I had to ask 3 times for it to be done. Only a small matter though.

We only stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as we were visiting the history side og the bridge & POW camp & war graves. This is a very beautiful hotel & grounds are like a film set, we had a river view which was well worth the small extra charge. We could nor fault the facilities, staff or breakfast. The only problems we had was the lack of people in the lounge bar and the live entertainers were playing to a near empty room. The other dislike was that the hotel was so far out of the small town, you had to get taxis back & forth. I would have thought that the hotel could have provided a lot more information of the tours and dinner cruises available! there was almost no information available! We had a great short stay and this hotel, I would highly recommend.

We felt that this hotel represented exceptional value for money! The gardens were beautiful and the hotel was generally very well situated by the river in full view of the River Kwai bridge (a short walk away). It was a little difficult to (eg) eat outside the hotel at night because of its location, but this didn't really matter because the food at the hotel was excellent (although a bit pricy by Thai standards). We REALLY enjoyed the whole place and have already recommended it to others who we know will enjoy the location, service and whole experience. We shall certainly go there again.

Within easy walking distance of the River Kwai bridge, the museum and the markets. The location is across the river from the hustle and bustle making it very quiet. The grounds are huge - staff need motorbikes to get around - and with a lot of tropical greenery. In house services ie massages are expensive. The pool was beautiful and so were the restaurants. There is an onsite mini mart which makes for inexpensive eating - we existed very well by adding boiling water to cartons of noodles.

The hotel was across the river and if you didn't want to get a taxi every time you went into the city you had to walk across the Bridge at the River Kwai. Great Breakfast and Excellent Dinner Restaurant. The garden area was beautiful and well kept, and there was a pool right in the center of the garden. My room came with a Balcony overlooking the Garden. You'll love it.

This is a quality hotel on a beautiful setting. Great pool, wonderful restaurant, and marvelous service. Just a little disappointing that we had to pay extra to use the gym facilities.

I have been to Thailand about 10...
I have been to Thailand about 10 times and this was the first time to Konchanaburi. On this trip I had been staying the previous week in Bangkok and wanted some time for peace and quiet. The Felix certainly provided me with all that I was looking for. It is situated a 5 minute taxi ride from the town but this is no problem. It is walking distance to the Bridge on the River Kwai which for me was the main reason for going to the area. The hotel is somewhat functional without the modern intricate beauty of newer hotels. The architecture of the resort felt rather 70's concrete whereas other hotels really go to detail in including carvings and little thai designs that soften the edges. I was pleasantly surprised to find two pools, one was a 25m lap pool which was fantastic and there is a handy 1km running track around the hotel grounds. The gym is functional but not the most modern. Rooms were clean but somewhat dated again as with most of the hotel. Food was fine and there is a bar with pool, darts and live music. All in all and as far as I could see from the area this is a good hotel and one of the better ones in the area. It did not take my breath away and if I were returning to the area I would stay here again but would say that if one of the chains of hotels opened up a 2007 hotel I would probably look at that first. So you know my taste, other hotels I have stayed in include the Pathumwan Princess - Bangkok, Amari Coral Beach - Phuket, Sheraton - Krabi, Hard Rock - Pattaya.

A lovely hotel, well located within easy walking distance to the River Kwai bridge. This puts it a bit out of town but the bridge is what most people come to see anyway. The pool, with its swim-up bar was a very nice feature and the hotel had an open, clean feel to it. Well worth the little bit extra in cost.

The room we had was fantastic, on two floors. a very nice leaving room downstairs and bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. We had view on the river and it was really calm. The service though is really poor, people are not happy to help you, they will not call a taxi for you and give you a hand if you do not want to use the very expensive shuttle service provided by them. They are quite slow to answer you demands. it s really sad as the place is really nice.
