This is a beautiful hotel. The room was quite spacious with a wonderful balcony overlooking one of the hotel's many water fountains. The pool was great and the location was good, right on the river and very close to the bridge. It was a bit isolated though, so finding a place to eat outside the hotel required hiring a taxi. The hotel's main restaurant served excellent food, although it was a bit expensive. The resort's grounds are very beautiful and scenic, which makes this a great place to get away and relax.

Very nice and clean hotel.  Rooms and bathroom are generous size.  Breakfast was good, in house entertainment could improve but reasonable.  Hotel a long way from town centre so is important to have good on site facilities.  Room service takes for ever (50minutes one night) and arrives cold.  Most hotel facilities are expenseive, MiniBar, Internet (100baht for half hour and 50baht per half hour after that).  Charge 150 to take you to town. Would stay again if ever back in that neck of the woods.

Really enjoyed our stay at the resort...the...
Really enjoyed our stay at the resort...the staff were really friendly and we had a nice river side room.Would definitely stay here again. It is situated in a very convenient spot and the bridge is a short walk away. Enjoyed using the swimming pool although did notice that one of the pools was a yukky green colour and not in operation. Also used the children's play area and this didn't seem very clean. Waited for a long time to get drinks at the swimming pool bar.....only one member of staff working at a busy time!

Spacious, clean room set in lovely gardens - would certainly recommend this hotel. Breakfasts were very good also, however, they had some strange ideas at the Danish pastry counter with things like crab sticks embedded inside a sugary bun - it certainly confused the taste buds.

Felix is a beautiful resort. I highly recommend staying at the Felix Riverkwai resort. It is very short walk to the bridge on the river kwai, the pool is beautiful, food is great and the staff are very friendly especially in the restaurant! Felix Riverkwai resort is a must stay resort!

We spent four nights at the Felix...
We spent four nights at the Felix Riverkwai and would have no worries about recommending it to anybody. The rooms were exelent and the facilaties were great, this was our first trip to Thailand and we will return and also stay at this hotel again. Our thanks to the hotel and staff

The Felix Riverkwai hotel is starting to...
The Felix Riverkwai hotel is starting to show its age but is still reckoned to be the best hotel in Kanchanaburi. It is a short drive from the town by car but only a few minutes walk over the famous bridge. My wife and I opted for a delux room on the river bank. Our room was on the ground floor with a footpath outside so unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the view unless we opened the curtains and so let all those walking along the river bank view us too! There were also a few loud "disco boats" cruising the river from quite early in the morning. The room was quite large and clean but a few mosquitos managed to find their way in. The hotel facilities are quite good - there is a large pool and several restaurants. Staff were friendly enough but spoke limited English. we will certainly stay there again but probably in a cheaper standard room.

Excellent resort. Terrific rooms, very efficient, friendly front office staff.  Great eating, good entertainment.  River dinner cruise stops serving alcohol half way through journey! Not much value, nearly all in darkness. Resort is highly recommended. Greg S. Australia

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The rooms are very nice and you'd be hard pressed to find such immaculate surroundings even in a botanical garden.If there was one fault it is that this hotel, probably because of it's size, is used predominantly as a conference location and therefore there were large parties arriving in the afternoon, staying for breakfast, which made it very busy, then leaving, so that on one occasion we were the only two people using the pool and sometimes it seemed the only people in the hotel, although I'm sure we weren't.
