Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The rooms are very nice and you'd be hard pressed to find such immaculate surroundings even in a botanical garden. If there was one fault it is that this hotel, probably because of it's size, is used predominantly as a conference location and therefore there were large parties arriving in the afternoon, staying for breakfast, which made it very busy, then leaving, so that on one occasion we were the only two people using the pool and sometimes it seemed the only people in the hotel, although I'm sure we weren't.

Went to Kanchanaburi for a weekend trip...
Went to Kanchanaburi for a weekend trip and found this hotel to be of decent value. We had a 1st-floor River View room. The scenery here is great as its situated along the Kwai River with a small pathway along the entire stretch of the resort. Morning/afternoon strolls are lovely. They also had a very nice garden and pool with a hoop for those interested in serious swimming. I would make the pleasant decor and relaxing scenery as the prime reason for booking this hotel. Service was great, check-in was a breeze. Had problems with the air-con at 12am and a repairman immediately showed up to promptly resolve the issue. They have all the amenities expected of a resort with bicycle rental, restaurants, a bar, karaoke, pool tables, massage, sauna, etc. The great thing about these facilities is that most of the time you'll be the only ones using it. There are hardly guests around. On the other hand this hotel is noticeably old with the rooms and bathtub showing reasonable wear and tear. The bed and pillows were also painfully hard. The location is also a bit out of the way. It's across the river from the main road and not easy to access, but the hotel does arrange for excursions. We had a rental car so this wasn't an issue for us. If budget is a concern we'll also have to say that this resort is on the pricey side. We also noticed that this hotel is often used as a destination for school field trips and government or company retreats so it may get noisy if you happen to get lucky. But don't me wrong, I would definitely recommend this resort for those of you visiting the Kanchanaburi area.

This was an excellent hotel although in the middle of no where - nothing in walking distance! The hotel will provide transport at a cost in to Kanchanaburi. The hotel had a 'Tours' desk - they were very helpful and will also arrange transport. Frank - was excellent. The food was excellent, the pool was excellent, the room service was excellent. The only negative was that there was no kettle / drinks facilaties in the room. This was the only hotel we stayed in that they were not available. This hotel complex is enormous.

Second time we have stayed at this...
Second time we have stayed at this hotel (first time 6 years ago) and happy to see that things are just as good as the last time. Perfect river facing rooms, quiet, scenic grounds, and a lovely pool. Excellent food - breakfast is one of the best of all hotels we have stayed in, and very reasonable prices for food & drink (inc minibar) which is unusual for such a hotel situated with few other decent restaurants within easy walking distance. Courteous smiling staff and attentive maintenance after reporting a problem with one of the showers displays a character that shows the Hotel actually cares about it's guests. I have recommended this hotel to numerous friends who have all had a great experience at the place, and it is the ONLY place we will stay when we are back in Kanchanaburi again.

Amazing grounds and rooms, with a beautiful, quiet location, with easy access to all the sights and town. A pleasant surprise on arrival. The only drawbacks where having to pay for everything extra i.e - sauna, and there could of been extra veg options at breakfast. Will definitely be returning. Would recommend you book tours from outside the hotel as expensive.

Thought this was a lovely hotel in a peacefull location. Enjoyed the rooms and the swimming pool.Although some people have said it is a bit tired round the edges I thought this hotel was very charming. Only real complaint was the service in the restaurant which was quite poor. Service in rest of hotel was good.
