I stayed three nights at this hotel....
I stayed three nights at this hotel. It was very peaceful and there were some beautiful gardens. Breakfast was good and the room was okay. There were two problems that mean I won't be going back. Firstly the bathroom had no bath and the shower fitting was virtually inadequate which was very disappointing. Secondly and more importantly, the hotel is a long way from anywhere. Even walking to the bridge was a major exercise and the cost of transport was a significant addition to my travel costs. Allow A$14.00 per day if you want to stay here. The hotel would ring a taxi and it would cost Bt200 to go anywhere. I could get back for Bt120 but only after haggling. This hotel needs a free shuttle bus.

I stayed in the "deluxe spa" room, which is supposed to have been recently updated, but I didn't find any evidence of this other than fresh flowers sprinkled around the room here and there. The room was big, but lacked furnishings and a safe, and I found it to be not so comfortable overall, particularly the hard bed. Though I requested a high floor room and the hotel was nearly empty, I was placed on the ground floor. Wireless Internet service is available everywhere in the hotel, which is provided by a third party and while not too expensive, tended to be a bit flaky. The grounds and swimming pool are very nice and the pool wasn't full of leaves and debris as others have reported. Breakfast was rather poor. The 'hot' food is left outside to cool down and attract the resort's insect clientele. The staff seemed rather unhappy and unfriendly, which is uncharacteristic of resorts in Thailand. I would avoid staying here in the future.
