This resort was situated further away from Kanchanaburi than I expected, but was closer to other sights. The setting was delightful, but the whole place could do with a 'face lift!' But the staff were delightful and helpful. One downside was that it is used for conferences, which are attended by a lot of people, so the nights were filled with loud music until late, and it was difficult to find a table for breakfast in the moring!
Was my 3rd choice as others hotels were fully booked, way out of town, a real rund-down place with poor food, had to change rooms twice due to local company meeting with unbearable noise level and beer bottle smahsing in the hallway, management was though helpful to give us other rooms.
The Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort gardens are beautiful, the setting fabulous, and the rooms were once lovely but are run-down (headboard fell off, showers leaked, ac didn't work in all rooms, pool quality low). 30-min. outside of city. Staff speaks practically no English but tried their best.
nice location and nice hotel, but rooms are old. Staff very friendly but only little english. Kitchen was the negative aspect. Food was really low standard and no other choice nearby the Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Pavilion Rim Kwai Resort. I can honesty say that it was the highlight of my trip to Thailand. I have recommended you to many people since coming back to australia
