Break in Kanchanaburi
When we entered the hotel we were first given an upstairs room, for a smoker with a very hard bed. We asked to change to a downstairs room which is what we had asked for as my husband is recovering from an illness and has difficulty walking. This happened immediately and we were taken to a much nicer down stairs room with a large shower, soft vbed and two English Channels on the TV. The room service was very good but the food was a little pricey. The staff were marveluos, nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we did not see another European there we were given wonderful care and attention and would definately return.

The resort was lovely. It was quite...
The resort was lovely. It was quite isolated which is worth bearing in mind. It costs about 200baht to the town centre, and 150baht to the bridge and museums. The food was great, but it would be even better if they had some specifics for vegetarians. However they tried to accomodate us even though they didn't. Staff were very friendly! The one real complaint we had was the shower - it was a little trickle of hot water, which was pretty annoying if you were cold from swimming in the pool. Even saying that about the shower though, the room, the resort itself (setting, pool etc) were so good I would definitely stay there again. Recommended for people who just want to relax.

We stayed in this hotel for three...
We stayed in this hotel for three nights. It was definitely worth it. We had a big and clean room, with a good river view. The pool was fantastic and the food also. Besides that it´s located about 15 minutes from Kanchanaburi city and you have to go by taxi(200 Baht). But a real problem was the english of the staff. They couldn´t help us organizing a trip.

The hotel is around 14 km from...
The hotel is around 14 km from the centre of town and it's target market I beleive "Japan". Needs a makeover as looking a little shabby, Breakfast is poor

This resort is a lovely 'get-away' spot...
This resort is a lovely 'get-away' spot from the rush of Bangkok and perfect for a couple of days of quiet relaxation by the pool or the river with a good book. The restaurant food is also very good, and staff very helpful.

A good place to stay if you...
A good place to stay if you intend to have a nice relaxing,serenity,atmosphere and quite since it is situated 8km from town.a recomended hotel if you have your own trasport to move around the city and historic places.
