A bit out of town but for...
A bit out of town but for those like my family, it's a nice quiet place.We stayed at the floating unit.And the deck at the back of the room was great as you can see the river sweeping by. And at night we were fortunate to be able to see a floating restaurant being towed down stream and later up stream, loaded with party guests. We fully enjoyed the stay. Only regret is that we should have stayed longer.

It was very good value for money, only that a bit far from the centre and then, too expensive the taxi then...
The hotel is really outside of Kanchanaburi...
The hotel is really outside of Kanchanaburi and if you want to get back to town you have to pay 150 bhat (100 bhat from city to hotel). The staff could be more friendly and the whole resort could be more clean. The breakfast was below average and the thai tourguides that stood around with their megaphones to get their groups weren't what we liked as breakfast entertainment.
We booked a floating room for three...
We booked a floating room for three days, it was basic but adequate. On the second day we went to breakfast only to find there wasn't any offered, on our first day we had a buffet with the usual choices.
We were told we could have toast, which is no good to my partner as she cannot eat bread. The waitress kindly organised some fruit and eggs for us. When we went back to our room later on, there was a lovely vase of flowers and a basket of fruit. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location is wonderful. The food in the restuarant was tasty and resonably priced.Would go back again, but maybe stay in a different room.
