Didn't realise it was on an island
As lovely as this resort is, I'm afraid we cut our stay short simply because it was not the location we thought it was. Having been to Khaolak before I wrongly assumed it was near to the High Street, whereas it was another 20km up the road and then a ferry and a taxi to actually get to the resort, which we were totally unprepaired for.
Having said all that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the resort and if it's solitude you're after, then this is the one for you.

We stayed at this resort after booking...
We stayed at this resort after booking on the internet, For 3 days but wished we had stayed longer,the resort is like being in paradise, right beside the beautiful beach and has two superb swimming pools, plus other activities,staff are all friendly and helpful,breakfast could have had a bit more variety but there is ample to be had.rooms are big and comfy and cleaned every day. So if you like a peaceful holiday and romantic walks on the long and beautiful beach this is the place for you,

Perfect size of bungalowes, very good thai...
Perfect size of bungalowes, very good thai food. Lack of good sun beds, but very nice beach to lie on.

My family and I spent Christmas week...
My family and I spent Christmas week at Koh Kho Khao Resort and were very pleased. From the time the hotel car service picked us up at Phuket airport until our departure the service was excellent and the staff extremely helpful (and spoke English well). The Resort Deluxe cottages were very nice and a very short walk to the pool, the ocean, and the restaurant. The pools and beach were very clean and well maintained and never overly crowded. The resort is fairly isolated but this makes for a very quiet and relaxing vacation. There are a couple of restaurants 10 - 15 minutes down the beach but we chose to eat at the hotel restaurant as it was convenient and offered a varied selection. The hotel operates a number of excursions that are well run and offer many options should you want to get off the island. We would definitely stay at the Resort again.

WOW!! what a great place. i stayed...
WOW!! what a great place. i stayed there a couple of weeks ago. the people were so friendly and helpfull. the island is so quiet and a great place to relax and get away from everything for a bit. it is amazing to look out of the window and see the jungle on one side and the sea on another! i would deffinatly recomend it to anyone who wanted a quiet get away. and i will definatly go again.
