We were a little apprehensive with only...
We were a little apprehensive with only paying 38AUD a night but it was great. So quiet, good brekky. Balcony overlooking pool and beach. 20 min walk to shops ok but we got a motor bike for 1 day.
Visit White sand Beach, north. No movie channels..under repair?? Very quiet restaurant. Fab budget stay.

Situated with a stunning seaview on a long stretch of beautiful beach, this hotel is a great place for a relaxing holiday.
Note: not suitable if you are disabled or less agile: steep steps everywhere.
Faulty bathroom and size of pool only...
Faulty bathroom and size of pool only drawbacks from our point of view. The beautiful bathroom had a whole in the ceiling with dirty water dripping onto spacious marble area.
The hotels here have small swimming pools; we think the pool is a welcome addition even when Kaho Lak beach is so close & so lovely and size matters for swimmers.
Apart from this, our stay was very good and we plan to return in 2009 to bring together our UK & Thai family members. I forgot to say how good the sunset view is from the large balcony to each room.
This hotel is right at the end of the beach & retains a certain charm from the unique setting; a very enjoyable addition to our stay is the little town only 15 mins walk away from Sunset, small, bright and vivacious with ample cheap restaurants and excellent food.

This hotel is excellent vslue for money. Staff very friendly, food great, right on the beach and great views. Great for a holiday.
