Lovely hotel, enjoyed our stay but if...

Lovely hotel, enjoyed our stay but if coming back to Khao Lak we would prefer to be closer to the town centre and choose a resort nearer that location.

The location and the beach is fantatstic!...

The location and the beach is fantatstic! It is a quiet place. Exactly what we were looking for. We had a bungoalow sea front. However- there is a pool and a pool bar so it is not every bungalow that is nicely located. THe hotel in itself is nothing particular- it is sad- it could have been a pearl- but there is no heart! even though the personnel is smiling and so nice. And it would not need much- more caring and heart in the decoration. It is so sterile-and no wonder they hardly have any customers in there restaurant, Who would like to sit there?? hard chairs- (I brought a cushion from the hotelroom) and no flowers or napkin on the tables. THe bunghalows are ok- but there is no comfortable place to sit- we brought up the laying chairs on the bungalow terass althoug there two wooden armchairs and a wooden table, but not comfortable. you can stand it for 10 minutes! Thank good the adjacent hotel had a nice restuarant with good food- and it was arranged with heart felt welcoming and very nice and cosy to sit. the persons in the reception does hardly understand english although they are nice- liek all thais they are nice and smile. And they wanted us to pay 5000 bhat extra just that we could check out at 17.00 and not at 12.00. THat was exagerated! although I had already checked that the bungalow was free, I asked for the hotelmanager- he never appeared. It ended up that we had to check out at 12, give the key to the reception, then they will give us the key back at 17 o clock so we could take a shower before leaving. With such an ending- I would never put my feet in that hotel again- sad...
