This was our second stay at hotel...
This was our second stay at hotel Sarojin. The hotel is lovely but the room prices have nearly doubled since last year and unfortunately there was noise during the day as a new resort is being built just next to the Sarojin. Of course this is not the fault of the hotel and the staff did everything they could to satisfy customers (including setting a very nice beach situated further from the hotel and very peaceful). Unfortunately, it was not possible to enjoy the spa treatments during daytime because of the noise as the "magical" atmosphere we experienced last year was gone. We would have appreciated a small reduction on the hotel fees. Also, the isolation between the rooms is quite poor and we were disturbed for a few nights as we unfortunately had noisy neighboors. Nevertheless, we still highly recommend this hotel, as we are conscious that the disturbances we experienced this year are temporary. The hotel is superbly located and the staff is wonderful.

This is a 5 Star Resort with 6 star service. It offers high quality accommodation , service and dining at a commensurate price.
The staff have a real commitment to doing whatever it takes to please its guests and a desire to give the highest possible standard of service...always have a genuine smile on their faces and love to talk to you about what you have done on a particular day.
The resort does make you feel part of the "Sarojin" family.....
One point is that the resort is a little remote from the nearest town so you are reliant on the resort for transport (unless you hire a car which I did).
I will certainly be returning in the future and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Sarojin as the pinnacle of boutique type resorts .

We stayed here in November for our honeymoon. The hotel is fantastic & the service first class. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others, particularly for a honeymoon.
Rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The food and atmosphere at the Ficus restaurant is wonderful.
Only negative point would be pricing of excursions.

Dont bee fooled by the negative feedback, I stayed here last year in it was Great. Stayed in a normal room wich was just perfect. a Very Nice hotel ( and I have stayed in MANY, 4 this price I paid this was a bargin. Spa was a bit expensive though and thai food is better on the beach rest beside.
We were very disappointed with the Sarojin...
We were very disappointed with the Sarojin after all the positive reviews we had read. Our observations include the following:
-The driver who was sent to pick us up at the airport arrived late. We had to phone the Sarojin and request them to locate the driver which was annoying.
-We feet that the Sarojin Suite did not measure up to the descriptions provided:
-The partial sea view was a joke. There was no feeling of the sea at all. It would be fair to state that most suites look over the gardens. We place a lot of importance on sea view and think that this was an unforgivable oversell.
-The suite was not at all decorated like the pictures on the web and in the Sarojin brochure.
-The beach facilities were on par with the average charter hotel:
-Most of the sun loungers on the beach were quite tired plastic pieces of furniture.
-The beach towels provided were also quite tired; a couple even had holes in them.
-There was a dysfunctional Caterpillar excavator close to the beach that should be removed.
-The pizzas in the Ficus restaurant were pretty awful.
-There was something wrong with the electricity in our building. We needed to phone for the engineer sex times during our stay.
-We also felt that the hotel lacked intimacy and atmosphere apart from in the lobby area and the Ficus restaurant.
-We had a flight at 20.00 but needed to check out at 12.00 for incoming guests. We asked for a place to shower before departure and were told we could do that in the spa which was fine with us. However, we were instead shown to one of the pool villas for the shower. At first we thought that this was much nicer, affording additional privacy. However, the villa was in the middle of cleaning with an empty wine bottle, wine glasses, coffee mugs, UHT milk packages, used toiletries all around the bathroom and other signs of the previous guests. It thus felt like a pretty dirty place to end the stay at the Sarojin.
The management of Sarojin sent us a standard e-mail asking us for feedback after our stay. We provided the feedback above but received no reply. In the price range of the Sarojin, we think there are many better places to stay in Asia.
