Trying hard but not quite right.
There's always a Thai smile but don't expect too much service here. Rooms cleaned to a minimum. We had plates of food and dirty laundry outside the room for 2 days before giving it to the front desk. Found half eaten mandarin in room after cleaning. The compulsory gala dinner for 3500 baht each was overpriced for the food- my husband was ill all evening from something he ate. They did try to put on an entertaining show though and the front of house added some free wine to the tables. The resort is Right next to the beach and a smaller, cosier, resort than others next to it. Good Thai food on the road on way in. Beware of the Indian tailors always trying to get you into the shops! Apart from 2 doses of food poisoning and stingers in the ocean, was an okay break. 6th time in Thailand and wouldn't go back to Khao lak in a hurry.
