It was my third stay in SOFITEL...
It was my third stay in SOFITEL in KHON KAEN. I booked 2 DELUXE ROOMS as usual for 3 nights.
As it was in june weather was hot and when I left the room I had to put out the electronic key.
electricty in room is " off " as usual and air conditionning is no more in service.
So when coming back in evening it was more than 30 °C (Celsius) in the room and I hardly obtained 25 °C (Celsius) during the night.
I understand energy saving (electronic key) but it could be usefull to improve this pitifull system to avoid customer from boiling ...
SOFITEL should also put ice in ice bucket in rooms in end of afternoon. Ice bucket was always empty.
I appreciate during my former trip the quality of Vietnamese restaurant but this time it was a little bit deceiving. Morning breakfast was average.
On evening while ordering a PINA COLADA I got lot of Ice in the glass but a very (very) few PINA COLADA cocktail !
While checking out SOFITEL wanted to charge me 3 nights despite the fact I got a Voucher (alreasdy paid one month before) for the 3 nights. Of course I gave SOFITEL front desk the voucher while checking in.
It took more than 15 minutes to SOFITEL to correct their mistake which is unpleasant when you have to go to airport to fly back BANGKOK.
SOFITEL is a fine place but NEEDS improvements (air conditionning, checking out, and cocktails !).
