We stayed 2 nights at the Ramayana Resort. We booked a Resident Suite, the xpensivest one at the Resort.But it was like all other rooms, the only things we have more than the other was a dvd player and a fruit platter.So you can save 30 dollars when you stay in a standart room. In the we couldnt sleep because of our neighbours and because the walls were so thin, we heard everything!!!! In the evening at 8:30 we wanted to order somthing for the roomservice, so my husband called at the number and they say that this doesnt exist!!The best surprise was when we checked out. The people at the reception sayd that we stole a beauty box, but this was not true!! So they serched about 20 minutes and when the receptionist came back he told us that we have to pay 1000 Baht for the box!! So we never go to this resort! A very good resort is the Barali Beach Resort or Amari.

I myself had the chance to visit koh-chang on vacation the end of jan. I did the package through one of the travel website. Spending 4 days at the resort, i found myself filled up with the friendly services, atmosphere and etc. most of the things were really nice and incridible fantastic. If i were to have a chance to come back to koh-chang, no any other will be my selection.....the Ramayana Koh Chang Resort is highly recommended!

the ramayana ist a luxurious tastefully designed hotel in a beautiful garden setting. it lives up to high standards it sets.
the special rate we got through the internet was excellent value for money.
the remote jlocation from the beach is a bit of a setpack, even tough the shuttle service worked very well. also, i hope they will stop "impregnating" the whole place with loud, annoying elevator music starting early in the morning.
other than that its a great place to be
Beautiful place but a ten minute drive...
Beautiful place but a ten minute drive from the beach. Their claim to five restaurants and bars is a bit exaggerated. There is one place for breakfast (poor) and one restaurant (only ok) open in the evening although you can sit in another location but order from the same menu. There is very little nearby as an alternative.Service is friendly but bad and inexperienced. We chose the Ravana resident suite for all the added extras ..which never materialised. no vcd player, no fruit platter, no spa amenities. Other things promised were not available, no live music in the evenings, no floating market. the shuttle to white sand beach (much nicer by the way) only went once a day at nine a.m. we were woken at six thirty a.m. every day by piped music played throughout the resort and gardens.I understand that the ramayana resort is quite new. It could be a good place if they sort their act out and you don't mind being a way from the beach( surely half the point of going to the gorgeous Koh Chang?) but until they've been running for a while and know what they're doing, i should steer clear.

the place looked great but it was not as described.
breakfast was awful, other meals were from 1 menu (not 5)
nothing was happening there - it felt like the hotel was running on a VERY low budget which had been abandoned by guests. I was reminded of a film called WESTWORLD with Yul Brinner, where everything looks great and then goes wrong :|
staff very friendly but possibly untrained.
It took 15 minutes in a car to the beach
We saw a few people leave early in 3 days

We left early and went to KC GRANDE which was excellent
rooms 777 and 888 are my favorite. right on the beach.
I recommend you go there instead
