Beautiful resort, nice spacious room and bathroom, very good breakfast, delicious food in 3 restaurants, very good pool- and beach facilities.Outside the hotel a few nice rstaurants with
perfect thaifood, laundryservice and a few shops, that is it.Not much to do, but when you go
for relaxation this is the perfect place.
It was our second stay at the resort this year, and certainly (in our opinion) a resort to be regarded as one of the (so not) best resorts at Koh Chang Island.
Staff is well voiced in English, whenever required.
Breakfast buffet is very good with a lot of variation
for any person's likes.
Good restaurants are available for lunches and dinners,
prices are reasonable for restort standards if eating a la carte/from the menue.
We will certainly visit Amari Cove again.
Perfet Location on the Island....great and safe...
Perfet Location on the Island....great and safe Beach
.....Good to relax.....but the Value and Quality of Food is a big let down...hm....The Expert !!!
overall the amari cove resort is a very nice hotel well situated near the beach the personnal are very polite and smiling but the only thing we did not like is the place where is situated the restaurant, near the entrance of the hotel it is very dark inside the décoration is not nice and if you want to eat ouside you are just on the car park which is very stupid in such a country should be able to have dinner either outside or inside nerar the beach (like in others hotels in phuket etc...) but the sea food is excellent very fresh and tasty....same for the "breeze bar" which is opposite the restaurant overlooking the cars!!!!!
The Amari is located on the Klong Prao beach, still
not so touristic and relatively small; if you want a bit more action I would recommend Hat Sai Khao (White Sands beach)instead; we will certainly book there
instead if we go back to Koh Chang.
The service in the hotel was excellent. From the moment we entered the hotel, we felt very welcome and the staff had eye for every detail that made us feel comfortable in this hotel. Although we booked an gardenview room, the manager upgraded us and let us stay in a seaview room, of which the view was fantastic. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, then this hotel is the place to be. We would certainaly stay here again.
The resort is beautiful and all staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are expensive compared to other places just up the road or along the beach, but that is to be expected. They are currently building a new resort next door. Our room overlooked to the building site and we did experience noise in the mornings. I would still give it 4 out of 5 though, and would consider returning.
The Amari is the epitome of the resort hotel. On the one hand, a lovely spacious room in a beautiful setting; clean and well-tended and with friendly and helpful staff. On the other, perhaps a bit soulless; too many people rushing for sun-beds in the morning; staff willingness to help somewhat offset by lack of English.
We recommend you take the B&B option as the breakfast is amazing and you can then avoid the inevitable evening buffets. Make use of the lovely sparsely populated beach past the VJ next door and eat out in the charming local Thai restaurants and you will have a great time.
Excellent service all over the resort! The swimming pool is great and the beach is very pleasant with shallow water, soft white sand beach and clear water. It's quiet and has a beautiful sunset. Food is overall good if not excellent (at Sassi, the Italian Restaurant). Rooms are spacious (the family rooms) but ask to stay on the 2nd floor if you take standard rooms (they will have a mountain view). The ground floors are a bit noisy. We spent a great week! It's a bit expensive compared to other resorts but worth it, other hotels are not as luxurious.
