Big hotel, beautiful rooms (and pool), few guests?!
This hotel is something of an engima. It's large, and has the biggest pool I've seen anywhere in Thailand. Yet the staff operate in more humble surroundings, namely, a small hut at the top of the resort (i.e. no lobby, no fancy welcome, nothing). There was only ever 2 staff on duty, and whilst friendly, they could be mistaken for locals since there was no hotel uniform. Cleaners were everywhere and were the friendliest of them all. What's more, it was only half full (or seemed to be): even though it was a holiday weekend in peak season. Great, I guess, if you want peace and quiet.
You can rent motorbikes for 200 a day, which is the only way to get around the island (don't expect taxis, and songtheaws -pickup trucks- will cost you 50-100bht per journey).
The rooms are beautiful, although I'd agree the pillows are too big and firm, and hence give you neck problems. The restaurant was empty nearly every day, and I chose to explore the island for my dining options anyway. The best thing was evidently the price -you'd be hard pressed to get a better value hotel anywhere on the island. Well worth it.

Friendly staffs, clean room
- The staffs are so kind, friendly and very helpful.

- The scenery of hotel is nice for relaxing around the swimming pool better than on the beach because the Olympic size of the pool but the beach is the rocky beach.

Good accommodation
Quite, friendly and responsive team, good breakfast. Wc too basic.
The Owner and his staff could not...
The Owner and his staff could not have been more helpful. The best staff I have encountered in Thailand. The only draw back is the shoreline is rocky so no sand beach. Very large pool for lap swimming. Another pool for the children. My expierence with this hotel was excellent.

It was absolute great. We had an amazing time. The hotel staff and manager were really friendly. Wifi were all over the hotel available and whatever you needed they organized it for us. Overall it was great to stay and I would come once again

I would rate all of your catergories above as being excellent, and would suggest that the hotel would be ideal for families and seniors.
I cannot speak too highly of my experience there, the owners and all staff simply could not do enough to help, and it conspired to ensure that I had probably the best ho;iday I ever have had.
If you are looking for a place that has immediate access to a sandy beach, then this is not for you, although, of course White Sands is only 10 minutes away, but for me the location was a plus.
Altogether excellent, and I will certainly be back.
Hotel was almost perfect. Huge room, clean...
Hotel was almost perfect. Huge room, clean with two swimming pools, one of which was of Olympic size! Staff was friendly and breakfast better than your average "american breakfast" in Thai hotels. It's located a bit out of the way from White Sands beach which means you have to get a taxi to go to the beach and to where all the action is. It's not that bad though cause we were paying 60 Baht for the two of us (make sure you bargain!). The good thing is that because there's not much around, it's very quiet in the evenings.

Basic design and construction flaws, safety issue with corridor balustrade to level 2, bathroom fixtures not operable satisfactorily, bed design had 10cm gap to headboard so pillows slip down, pillows unacceptably high and rounded, breakfast barely adequate.
Overpriced for what amenity it provides.
We only stayed 3 days out of 7 booked, therefore losing substantial amount of money paid prior and probably not refundable.
Overall, very disappointing..........will not stay again, despite most affable owner.
I have been trying to send a complaint and request for possible re-imbursement to asiarooms without success or response.
We stayed in the Resortel in novembre...
We stayed in the Resortel in novembre and decembre this year. It is a very nice and beautiful hotel. The owner are very nice people and very hospital. We stayed in a lot of hotels in different areas from Thailand and Laos, but this hotel had the best price performance ratio. It is clean and the rooms are big and very nice. It is a quit area from the white sand beach but you can drive very quickly with a taxi or motobike to the other places from ko chang, if you like more people. They weren't a sand-beach but it is no problem, because you can very quickly go to sand beaches. It is possible to snorkeling directly at the hotel. They are two pools and one of they is very big and good to swim. I can this hotel recommand.
