Quality time at Island View Resort
Island View Resort is an oasis of peace and quiet, set in Salakphet Bay over the water. This is on the East coast of Koh Chang which is what Thailand used to be like 30 years ago before developers got their hands on it.
Only sounds you hear when you are there are the fishing boats, and birds...
The rooms , food and service are of a quality that leaves no room for complaint.
If you want, spend your days out on the water with the Hobie cat , Kayaks or Stand Up Paddleboard. Nearby islands and beaches are close enough to explore.
Sailing boats come and go from the marina , day sails or longer are available.
If something less energetic is your ideal, then glance up at the fish eagles flying above the water while you are reading a book, cold drink close by.
Totally chilled experience, makes going to the West Coast of the island feel the same as a trip to the big city
Friendly staff and Dieter the owner is very courteous and always helpfull

Good value for the money
After seeing the rest of Ko Chang, we realized we had lucked out by staying here. I stayed with my teenager and three adult children. It is fairly remote but there are two restaurants nearby and a picturesque fishing village. You walk out on a long pier to the hotel. Tee rooms are arranged in a line and there were only 5 on the row facing the bay. The bathrooms were really nice. You can walk out your room to the veranda and look at the bay. You can dive off the veranda if you want to. There is a restaurant on site. The day to day operations are fun by Phil, a young Austrian man who was very nice. The owner, Dieter, comes by your first day to explain your options. We were allowed to take a speedboat out to a private beach on a nearby island where the water was crystal clear. He can arrrange for massages or for the rental of a scooter or car for the day. There is a really lovely pool too. Make sure to bring cash though as they don't ccept credit cards.
