very basic hotel, as are the majority in koh lanta, things will im prove in the next 5-10 years with money being pumped into the tourism but as of 2006 not a lot there, not a lot nearby, the hotel was basic with very small rooms, the tiny balcony was very scruffy and the patio door to the balcony was very stiff with a big gap underneath to let the mosquitos in. the windows looked like they had not been cleaned in years. the door didnt have a latch on it and the room did not have a safe, although safes were available behind reception.
the food was terrible, horrible breakfasts, not a lot of variety and what was there was left out in the open for the flys to land on.
the only plus point is the fact that although under developed koh lanta is very beautiful and the andaman lanta is right on the white sandy beach, there are a few very good value restaurants further down the beach that serve much nicer food than the hotel.
