Lovely hotel in a quiet location
It was amazing to see monkeys in the morning from the outside bathroom! The gardens surrounding the rooms were lush and well-kept, with a nice pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent fRelax Beach was just a 15 minute (slow) walk from hotel. Cheap and frequent tuk tuks to take you into town if wanted.

Fantastic Stay
Chaw Ka Cher was a fantastic place to stay. Staff make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend staying here if you want personal service and a nice tropical experience.

We chose this hotel based purely on the outdoor bathroom and we were not disappointed! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and always smiling.
We stayed in the most basic room option which was a large, private and very quiet villa style room as are all the rooms at Chaw Ka Cher. It was a clean and tastefully furnished modern room surrounded by trees and birds which created a very tropical feel. The room itself featured a kingsize bed, alcove with mirror and hairdryer, small day bed, cable tv, refrigerator containing reasonably priced mini bar drinks, a chair on the veranda and an outdoor, roofless bathroom with a view of the stars at night time and the lush plant life during the day. This was the definite highlight of the room. The room was located about 20 metres from the swimming pool, perfect for couples and families alike.
There are two computers with internet access available for use free of charge located adjacent to the restaurant area. There is also a small libary located here that we found quite useful.
The only negative is perhaps the location/distance from the beach, however we overcame this problem by renting a scooter for the duration of the stay. This was easily arranged with the staff for 250 baht per day and worth every cent, allowing us the freedom to explore every beach on the island at our leisure. I highly recommend this option as a return sangtheaw or tuk tuk ride to Saladan village (main township) will cost around 350 baht.
The restaurant had an indoor/outdoor feel and was nicely decorated, if you choose to dine here in the evening all I can say is I hope you enjoy listening to Tracy Chapman!
