staff were very friendly and helpful during the stay, however the tables turned very quickly once we checked out.
i didnt feel the receptionist was very professional - when she expected us to go into town to get cash because she said they dont have credit card facilities (which was not stated on asia rooms or said upon our arrival), and then after a dispute, which could have been avoided, she pulls out the card machine to only tell us that there will be a credit card fee... no where else on the island did...
as for the room - it was very off putting from day 1 when the water gets turned off daily (to fill up the pool) so no shower - no toilet, and our room have issues through out the whole stay with the hot water not working.

Great escape
This hotel is even more beautiful in real life then in the photos shown in Asiarooms.com, where I booked my stay. I originally booked one night but ended up staying 5 (!). The room was great, with stunning views, but be aware that some of the rooms are located downstairs, with lots (!) of stairs to walk. Also, the path to the beach is more like a hiking track and the beach downstairs was not worth the energy (staff did warned us that in this time of the year the sunset side of the island is rather empty). Overall, I highly recommend, but stay away from the rooms downstairs unless you are in a good shape

We had booked this resort in order...
We had booked this resort in order to spend some days in Koh Panghan. Before booking we checked Tripadvisor reviews which were quite enthusiastic, a part from one. Unfortunately when we arrived at the resort we understood that the enthusiastic rewievs were made by the owner/manager (who is from Israel as most of reviewers) and/or his friends. The view from our room was nice, but this was the only positive thing of our stay. We were paying 2.500 BHT which should be considered an above average amount for Thailand, but we received very poor services: 1) The resort website says that: " The resort is only 30 meters from the idyllic white sand beach" but we could not see the beach at all (the resort is located on a hill and there is no path to the beach); 2) There are nor restaurant neither bar at all (there are two tables near the reception, but there is no restaurant/bar service); 3) There is no breakfast included; you can order breakfast in your room, but they buy it from other places and it arrives cold; 4) Room service (towels available and cleaness) is poor; 5) The resort access is on a dangerous road, far from shops and facilities; you always need to get a taxi or rent a motorbike for any movement; 6) It is plenty of steep steps; resort is not suitable for families; 7) There is a wifi free connection, but slow and seldom working; 8) There is a swimming pool with a nice landascape view, but its is small and dirty.

It was great. A wonderfull view, super service. Quit, but sometimes the music was loud at the swimmingpool. We asked to lower the sound ans it was done. Great hospitality.

This hotel is out of a travel...
This hotel is out of a travel and leisure magazine, clean great views and has a great lay out. I stayed for 8 nights in feb 2009. staff speaks good English and is helpful. Its a 100 baht taxi ride per person into town, or you could rent a scooter for 200baht a day plus any damages that may occur. would stay again... maybe next year. Thanks

Date of Stay: January, 2010 I...
Date of Stay: January, 2010 I stayed here for 4 nights over New Year. I was extremely impressed with the whole place overall. Being a new hotel everything is up to date and working. The rooms were well sized and all had great views looking out on to the ocean and Koh Samui. The balconies are large and contain a sunbed to relax on and some of the rooms have your own massive spa on the deck. Absolutely beautiful. Service was excellent, very willing to any of your needs and most Thai which work there have very good English. Being so new not all the taxi drivers know where it is so make sure you take the telephone number of the place so the taxi driver can call. It is very conveniently located on the main road between Had Rin and Thangsala. About 10 minutes in each direction and 100b per way. Taxis are frequent. Overall I highly recommend this place, such stunning views of the jungle and the ocean, quiet and peaceful fantastic getaway and worth every cent.
