Beautiful location, great resort
We stayed at Salad Buri for 4 nights. Whilst driving to the resort we were a little concerned that photos and reviews on asiarooms may have been a little deceiving and we were not sure what to expect. The dirt driveway was a little concerning but once around the bend it was like an A grade resort. The hotel is located at the end of Salad beach which is about a 30-40min drive to Haad Rin (full moon party) or 20min drive to Thong Sala (markets/shops/souveniers etc). Salad beach is absolutely beautiful. Although we had rain our stay was still amazing. Our rooms were spotless, cleaned daily with complimentary drinking water each day. The resort pool, is great. Although the bar pool is no longer is use it was still great to swim in overlooking the beach. Restaurant food was delicious. Best we had found after travelling Chiang Mai and Phuket previously. Room service was great! Wifi pretty average but considering the location, its pretty good. The staff were great! I celebrated a birthday whilst there and they baked a cake, sang Happy Birthday and put on a fire show for us. There are several other bungalow or huts along Salad beach but we found Salad Buri to be the stand out! There's also landromats, mopeds for hire, shops with essentials a short 5 min work along the beach available too. Massages were great, great prices. And snorkelling equipment available from hotel also. Cheap shuttle is available to the pier when leaving and they book barge/catamaran for u too! We couldnt have been happier! Already planning on a return to Salad Buri early next year! Highly recommend!! Cant say enough!
Disappointing at Salad Buri Resort
Entrance to Hotel terrible with rubbish at side and road surface almost unpassable.
No record of booking and had to wait in reception( drink provided incl. fly) for 1hour to get sorted.
Room tiny and had no place to move if bags were sat down, and this was supposed to be a superior double room. The television was placed in the window and blotted the view. Large number of stairs to get to the room. No balcony.
The room was new and clean.
The restaurant was adequate but service and standard of food not at 5* quality. After some rain the chairs were not dried and customers were sitting down on wet seats.
Overall a disappointing experience which is more akin to what you expect at a 4* or even 3* on delivery of service and quality of accomodation.
We loved our stay at Salad Buri.
Arriving at the resort down a very 'rustic' road we were not sure what to expect, but when the resort and gorgeous beach opened up in front of us we could see that we were in for a lovely stay. The resort it set over a pretty hillside that slopes right down onto a picture perfect beach, palm fringed, white sand and crystal waters. The hotel's infinity pool and restaurant are set right on the beach and the view is stunning and tranquil. We stayed in the cheapest rate room which was comfortable and stylish, a little on the small side (but their room sizes are advertised clearly on the website, so we knew that) but the bathroom was large. They have much bigger rooms and villas available at higher rates. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The lunch and dinner food was equally excellent with delicious Thai options and other inernational choices executed very well. I was impressed by the in-resort pricing (food, drinks, transportation, massage) all very reasonably priced and good value. The beach is beautiful and also has a few lovely restaurants along it (we really loved Salad Hut). There is a very small village with a few shops and bars. I recommend the Reggae Bar! Couple of downsides to...it says on the hotel website that all the rooms have a private balcony or terrace but this is not the case, so check if you are keen to have a balcony. The "spa" is just a simple massage area (but excellent and cheap massage). And some of the rooms are located up the hillside meaning there can be a lot of steps to access the room from the beach/pool - it is not that bad unless you have difficulties walking. Aside from these minor points, I loved the resort and would most certainly go back again.

Wonderful friendly staff, very clean room that was very spacious, beautiful surroundings, great pools, the only downer was the beach was a little shabby, however very impressed overall. Thankyou.
