Relaxing time at Lime n Soda
Greeted with a Lime n Soda on arrival, my bag was carried to my room, air con set up and left to it. The resort was loveley and just on the edge of Thong Sala, so not far from the night Market, 7/11 and everything else you need! The pool was clean and definitely beachfront, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed! I was alone but friends were easily made, and the cute little puppy helped! I think it'd be great to stay here as a couple or group of mates! Good fun, music always on and cocktails always flowing!
Unimpressed and done over
The place looks much better in the pictures. Room turned out to be a round hut with a small bathroom attached. The bathroom had holes in the walls which meant all sorts of creatures could get in. There is a TV in the room but no fridge, also nowhere to put any belongings (cupboard/drawers) so had to dump them in a large space under the TV. On first arriving the staff were very friendly and renting a bike couldnt be easier or more hassle free, but during the mornings and afternoons were very loud and seemed to be more of them than guests. Also chose to play ping-pong very loudly every evening. The resort itself does seem to be very well done up and the foreign manager is always around, very friendly and helpful. However the positives of my stay have been overshadowed as when I was rushed out of my room on check--out (the receptionist literally came and took my bags to hurry me up) I left a small bag of jewellery in the room, most of it was just cheap stuff but there were a couple of things which had huge sentimental value. When I contacted the hotel the next day they said they didn't have it and that there were new guests in the room. It doesnt make a difference if there are new guests as whoever cleaned the room WOULD have found it and I am guessing either still has it or has sold on its contents. Even after offering a reward for its return I have had no luck getting it back. BE WARNED!

Positives~clean large room, excellent location, just 10 minutes from patong beech and five minutes from Bangala road...good room service also. Negatives- not a lot but the staff at reception were extremely unhelpful, unfriendly, blunt and at times offensive. On that note I would not stay again. Also roof top pool is slightly dangerous especially for children, pictures look better then what hotel is

This place was the main factor that made Koh Phanghan the island #1 among many other Thailand islands. And this was achieved by means of a really friendly atmosphere , good location,great food, helpful staff that tried to do everything possible to fix some superficial problems like cold water instead of hot etc & of course a stunning view no matter if it is a day or night . Pretty amazing for such cheap price!
