Basic, Simple but Clean.
The Ivory hotel is very close to the main pier and all the restaurants and shops.
It's on the opposite side to all the late night clubs, only 5mins walk away.
But the hotel is very loud, you hear people coming back at night Vomitting as if they're in your own bathroom: the walls are thin! You hear every set of footsteps up the stairway, even with the hotel rule (signs everywhere) to remove all footwear while inside.
The air con is great, actually works.
Sheets are clean, but the bed is so hard I actually swear I nearly bruised!
Phi phi island in general is very overrated and over priced, the beaches aren't great- watch out for slime, mud and needles from the drugs around..
So this hotel has a great location, is clean but noisy and reasonably good value compared to it's old run down overpriced competitors nearby.
The staff were helpful and their English was great.
After seeing what else there was on the island that you didn't have to pay a limb for, this was pretty good. Basic: only an electric shower, tv & bed. But spacious and clean.
If you do hit a needle on the beach or get into grief, the hospital is 2mins walk from
The hotel. You'll be well located.

Clean room as stated
Hotel is clean, it's in a busy area so expect some noise. Phi Phi is not a clean Island, so expect to get a dodgy tummy and see rats scurrying around!
in the village
small rooms. we experienced water problem at showers. the location is OK, in the middle of the village. staff friendly.
the service of the hotel staff was really really good. we were intending to get our ferry tickets to phiphi at the pier in the morning as we were touching down in phuket at about 11pm and the tour agencies would have been closed by then. the hotel staff volunteered to get our ferry tickets for us at 600THB (if you buy it at the pier, it costs 550THB per way). the transaction was smooth and their services were efficient. they had a relatively good command of English too, and really really helpful! always serving with a smile. the room was very clean and cosily small. however, there is no fridge. you might want to consider a cheaper alternative if you're on a budget.

Good clean room, helpful staff, good food. Location is fairly central 5 minute walk from Pier and near to bars and restaurants.
great stay, close to everything
phi phi is very small indeed, and ivory is right across the markets and the beach is just around the corner. very nice place to stay. its clean and people are nice. definitely recommend it if you don't want to be near the loud music up the road where all the main bars are. this end it quite.
Clean, Cool and Central
I had a great 5 nights stay at Ivory.
The rooms are basic but clean and bright and the bedding is changed daily and the room throughly cleaned every day, even after dragging half the beach home with us after too much samsong. Clean towels are given every day and they will even give you beach towels to take away for the day.
The location is very central right in the middle of the tourist village, about 5 mins walk to either of the main beaches, or the pier where the boats bring you in.
Food was very good, but rather expensive compared to the street food on sale right outside, however I would recommend spashing out 100 baht on their pad thai which was one of the best I tasted in Thailand!
Staff were helpful, although I would book day trips etc with one of the many longtail owners down on the beach.
Altogether a great stay and no negatives!
